This is how I felt after my two weeks of insanity. These two weeks are my busiest, as I had two conventions in two weeks, and then during the week those weeks I first had VBS to teach every day and then Kid's Camp. I just got back late Saturday and spent the last couple days trying to get my life back in order.
VBS went well, had a blast at comicon. I checked in her during that week, Volunteered at a supernatural convention that weekend, and had a blast. I was expecting 12 hour days...it was more like 15 hour days. I barely had enough to time to get sleep. I ended up coming across a girl with a cochlear implant who was struggling to hear with all the feedback from the speakers. I ended up becoming her interpreter the rest of the weekend, and at one point during the main panel I was dragged front and center at the stage so she could see me better. I hate the spotlight so it was a bit terrifying, but it was an awesome experience to be able to help her actually enjoy her convention she paid good money for.
I also have now been hired by my church as the secretary. So I actually will be paid ten hours a week. The idea being that the former secretary didn't have enough to do during those ten hours, so I could get some of my children's stuff done while actually being paid...eventually increasing my hours so that everything I do is paid! The extra money will be nice.
I'm gearing up for the USAT nationals mid-August. It's an Olympic distance and I'm hoping to have a PR. I've changed my running form and corrected some issues...but that caused me to start to struggle with plantar fasciitis...mildly. I got new insoles that seem to help, I'm avoiding sandals or being barefoot. It's only been a f days but it seems to be improving. I figure as the new muscles I'm using with my new form strengthen, the problems will lessen.
It's crazy hot here right now, but I get up at 4 am to workout and then crawl back into bed. It seems to be working. This is the time of year when mid afternoon I have to do tasks with little physical activity...computer stuff, bills, folding laundry, etc. Cleaning and things need to happen in the vending when it's cooler. I get really sleepy and lethargic mid-day.

I think that catches me up. I saw on my timeline that Laura had a DNF because of insane humidity and disgusting weather. I can't handle that at all when I run so I'm impressed you made it 9 miles in that!

    Have a great day everyone!

Hi, glad you made thru all that Val and congrats on paying position:)

I am having stomach issues again. I was doing good after I returned from hawaii after last bout then i just like started emotionally eating again wrong things, i can't explain why i eat certain things when i know they might make me have stomach problems.

After 3 days of stomach pain again, my hubby and i had talk about me going to a nutritionist. In my area where it's impossible to get a doctor the only ones are holistic for $250 a hour no insurance.

So i found a good one 3 hrs away, had to be put on waiting list for a few months. I like her because she does food intolerance testing and gives you special plans with follow up. That being the most important part.

My doctor gave me a list of food to eat but no recipes, no plan and no follow up. And i want to see if any foods are bad for me like gluten. Personally i think its sugar and fat in foods that is my problem, spicy stuff and vinegar or wine.

Have to get better we leave for camping Sunday.
