Dropped a little this week. Not keeping trigger foods in house helps. My adopted daughter is visiting this week as well as a family friend that works with my husband. Daughter eats healthy but friend came in and made bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños! Will have to be vigilant this week. Love the 15 min workout, will finish Foundation Light and then will try that.

Walked w/DH this morning for 5.05 miles in 93 mins (6.05 total miles for 13,142 steps) then got on the recumbent for 12.00 miles in 46 mins and an episode of Banshee. No DVD today. It got to 105 degrees this afternoon! Yikes!

Finished the workout yesterday evening...love the 15 minutes. Also completed an arms challenge. Didn't get a chance to walk it was 95 in Georgia. I'm going to have to pull out the Leslie Sansone DVDs when I can't get out early in the morning.

Good thinking, Kathy! We had 105 yesterday. Today it is supposed to get to 100. No breeze, no clouds. :o

I did Leslie for a lot of years when the kids were growing up.

Will combine this with another challenge today.

Walked w/DH early this morning for 5.80 miles in 106 mins...it was still very warm--104 degrees for a high! -then got on the recumbent for 19.50 miles in 73 mins then did 30 mins of strength training but not our challenge. Reading now!

Get to go to the gym tomorrow w/DDD. Her doc has cleared her for regular workouts.

I was so happy with my weight yesterday then it shot up this morning...if I'd had an axe, I wouldn't have a scale!! I swear!

Walked w/DH this morning for 5.35 miles in 87 mins - our first time hitting 3.7 miles an hour - (6.79 total miles for 13,029 steps) then got on the recumbent for 13.00 miles in 51 mins and an episode of Banshee then worked out to a yoga DVD. A really nice Saturday!

I walked by myself for years and years. I was doing 4.0 miles an hour easy. When my DH started walking with me, we were walking real slow...he'd just had hip surgery, so 3.7 mph is pretty terrific for us!! Wonder if we will hit 4.0 mph. Maybe...

Oh Chris, my legs don't move that fast. A mile still takes me 20 minutes. How is your DH doing? I remember when he was going in to surgery. I've heard that hip surgeries are very successful.

He's doing really well. Thank you for asking. They (the doctors) had to fix a bunch of total hip replacements that were metal-on-metal. For DH they inserted a cushion between the two metal pieces, and that took care of the pain he was experiencing.

We do walk much slower when we have Bean. That pup smells and marks everything!! We'll have him for puppy sleepovers week after next. The kids are going on their last trip before the baby comes. We miss not having him with us.

We had 4th of July fireworks at the high school last night. Our walk this morning was slower than normal but much longer...we found more interesting things at our two parks and the school where folks gathered to watch! Crazy! Then we got Bean for a while and took him out for a couple of miles (9.50 total miles for 20,520 steps) then I got on the recumbent for 15.00 miles in 56 mins and an episode of Banshee then I worked out to a 30 min yoga DVD. Now I'm going to read!

Hope you all have a great Monday!

Some @!$$ing idiots think the open field below our house is a great place for fireworks - maybe because of all the dried grass, or the homes uphill from it?!??! For that reason it is no longer our favorite holiday here.

There is a wonderful old fashioned community picnic every year though. A couple hundred people, lots of kids, potluck, music and fun & games. Especially like the raw egg toss and water balloon toss (watching - not catching - can you say broken eggs and balloons?). Parked far away and walked. Does carrying a 5# salad count as strength?

Remember sitting on my back looking up at the fireworks and thinking how stunning it all was.

    Happy fourth to you all!
