No appetite in the morning

I'm having trouble chocking down breakfast. I need to eat though because once I get into work I often don't get another chance until lunch. Any ideas for LC smoothies? Those I can drink on the way in. I'm experiencing egg fatigue though :( No more eggs!

BPC is my go-to breakfast. But there's also no reason to try simply skipping breakfast.

Coffee with HWC is my breakfast every day. If you're not a coffee drinker, I hear it's good with tea too. And then you have something to sip on on the way to work!

Just because it's "breakfast time", doesn't mean that you have to eat "breakfast food".

If you're burned out on eggs, eat literally anything else that you normally would to keep carbs low.

As for the smoothie: I don't know what you like, but here's a couple that you can try.

I echo everyone else. I personally drink BPC now which keeps me full for hours but I've also been known to eat left over steak, chicken, or pork for breakfast.

I finally bought a hand held immersion blender and making my coffee is so quick and easy now.

I am usually not hungry in the morning either when I get up since I started eating LC which is a great feeling but I have to have my coffee so I use hwc and coconut oil and it keeps me full until near lunch when I have a protein shake. It took me a while to adjust to the idea that you don't have to eat just because it is breakfast, My mindset was to eat every 3-4 hrs to keep metabolism going but doing this WOE I don't need to do that anymore. I eat when I am hungry.

I am with everyone else here... coffee is my breakfast, lol. HWC and sometimes butter. I also will eat a Tbsp of coconut butter sometimes. I never have an appetite in the morning. Besides it's a good thing to only eat when hungry! :)

can't edit my post. I meant to say you could just try skipping breakfast, but I think I forgot a word.

Yeah, I'm all about the BPC for breakfast now too. It keeps me full until lunch time no problem!

If you're not hungry then you can skip breakfast and have a bigger lunch and dinner. You can also eat "dinner foods" for breakfast if you want :) My mornings I'm too tired to bother so I have coffee with HWC and whatever sugar free syrup I feel like having.

I never eat breakfast. My first meal of the day is always around 2:30-3:00. I have 2 cups of coffee each morning. I put 1/2Tbs MCT oil (or coconut oil) in each cup and depending on what I feel like, I might add some butter or HWC. Lately, I am really liking coconut milk.
When 2:30 comes around I'm not starving. It's just time to eat. I don't even eat a bigger lunch. It's just a normal size because I'm not starving and dinner is always around 6:30-7:00 anyway.

I'm with the majority of folks here! I do coffee with hwc, and then am not hungry until around 1 (I get up at 3am when I work, and usually by 5am on off days). I have a 30 oz. Yeti cup that I fill, with 3 tbsp of hwc, and I sip on it all morning. Works wonders for hunger!

Bullet proof coffee. Essentially you blend butter and/or coconut oil and/or MCT oil and/or Heavy Whipping Cream (HWC) into your morning coffee (maybe with a little sugar substitute like splenda). So you end up with 150-400 calories of fat for breakfast. I myself do 1-2T of butter and 1T of MCT oil. You gotta use a frother or blender, else the butter just remains an oil slick on the surface.

Theories are (1) it can be delicious (2) the medium chain fatty acids in MCT/coconut oil help feul your brain while the no-carb nature of the recipe means you keep burning ketones (if you're in ketosis) (3) you don't have to "eat" anything at breakfast when you're not hungry (4) I couldn't meet my 100 minimum grams of fat per day without it.

You might be a candidate for intermittent fasting. I don't eat 'til 1ish.

If you can add in 1-2T of unsalted butter, you'll get a good idea of what it tastes like and how long the energy lasts.

I'm also the same as the others, love my bpc. It took me awhile to try it because butter in coffee w/coconut oil, umm made me a little nervous. Once I tried it yum, so smooth, good, and filling. I do 2/3 cups every morning w/butter, coconut oil, heavy whipping cream, and stevia. I take it to work and it last. Here's a link I found that has different recipes for BPC, some will be so good in the fall. lowcarbediem.com/low-carb-bulletproof-coffee-recipes-intermittent-fasting/. Good luck.
