I have heard so much about Halo Top ice cream. Is it good? Low in carbs? I can't wait to try it.

I saw it at Walmart the other day, but haven't tried it yet.1

It is straight from the heavens!!!! I've only had Birthday Cake. I've heard from several the Chocolate is the least good. Don't forget to let it soften on counter a little before eating. SO GOODD!!!!!!0

How many carbs?1

I tried the strawberry flavor once. It was so bad I could not finish the pint and ended up throwing it away and I hate to waste food!! In my opinion, it was more like frozen ice milk (whatever that is - a product before my time or so I'm told) than ice cream so try it as your own risk.1

I think I had some Orange Leaf no sugar added vanilla once... Can't really say I remember it so much. It was just cold and kinda vanilla... Nothing special...0

I love the vanilla and the birthday cake. Very very important to let it soften up a bit before eating. It makes it creamy!1

Birthday Cake flavor tastes fakey to me but the Lemon Cake flavor is out of this world. Something like 13g total carbs in a 71g serving and about half are sugar alcohols IIRC (I'd check but... I'm kind of out of it ATM haha). My husband really likes the mint chip flavor too. We were not fans of the chocolate though.0

I haven't tried it but it's so easy to make your own! I bought an ice cream maker that makes in 20 min. I use heavy cream, stevia, vanilla extract and if I want any flavorings add those in. I usually put a few pecans or berries1

I have heard lemon and birthday cake are the best flavors, but haven't found Halo Top yet. I've tried Arctic Zero and it's like eating a tub of chocolate flavored freezer burn. I've had Breyers carb smart ice cream and those have been heavenly, I have some almost every night now lol0

I had to Google where to find it in my state. Only 1 store sells it near me. I love it so I make the drive. I agree to let it thaw a bit first. I hear you can order it through the company too.0

So sad...I figured out that I am sensitive to sugar alcohols and they affect my BG! So no halo top for me0

Edit: I tried the chocolate. Pretty darn good. Even better with a T. of PB mixed in!0 -
If we don't use sweeteners, fruit tastes pretty sweet. How about making real ice cream with HWC and your carb limit of real fruit? No sweeteners and the rest of your day has to be no carb. So for a treat. I'd make it with cinnamon, too.
Just thinking out loud.3 -
I just tried Halo Top vanilla bean and it's...amazing!!!1
