Looks like they killed the boards yesterday. Tried to get in last night, and again this morning, and nothing.

    They've removed the links leading there from the main landing page, but if you've saved a shortcut to the message boards, those still work. I suspect they don't know how to take them down, LOL

    BTW, I can still get to the message boards because I have it set up to automatically open when I open Chrome. I'm sure they'll eventually figure out how to make that NOT work.

    Interesting I just went to my browser and googled Weight Watchers Message Boards and that link took me right in. I'm like Murple quoting " I suspect they don't know how to take them down, LOL"

    As of this morning, my WW GOAD link takes me to a "About Connect" page. Links to my blog, my profile, and old threads are all greeted with a "We're sprucing up the place!" commercial for Connect.

    Close the lid, gentlemen . . .

    I wouldn't be surprised if the boards remained functional for a long time. I'd guess truly dismantling them would require much more repair of the rest of the code that runs the WW website.

    I'm continuing to start a daily thread on the maintenance board. Though it's getting tiresome. But I'm not quite ready to shut it down.

    My shortcut is down ... was up yesterday. RIP, our relationship lasted longer than many marriages ... 15 yrs, 3 months and 16 days. On to the new ... but changes are I not be around for another 15 yrs :)

    THIS is the longest Death Watch I've ever seen. We have GoaD on FB and MFP now so why are we still obsessed? (Myself included)

    I am a member of several message boards, a couple pretty actively. I got to say, it was the people who kept me coming back to GoaD. Technically, the WW boards were rubbish, they never even attempted to provide even basic features like editing. Good riddance.
