So after reading the main boards, I was worried I would have no energy on low carb. And during the first week of dropping my carb intake from around 100 g a day to 50 g, I did feel a bit sluggish. But I've just started my 3rd week of less than 50 g of carbs a day and it's amazing how much energy I have. Plus, my hunger has really disappeared and I get full on much smaller portions.

I do have to get used to eating full fat stuff though, because I've had the diet mentality ingrained for so long that I still feel wierd when I measure out my 2 tablespoons of full fat ranch. But it's getting easier, and I'm enjoying the food!

Anyway, I'm thankful to have found this group and am excited about getting more information!

It takes some time to adjust, but when you do...it feels great!

I'm happy you are doing well.

Look on the Launch Pad for a bounty of great information.

that's typical when starting out. don't be shocked though when the extreme energy comes to an end, or at least lessens a little, that comes with time too as you adapt. also if you aren't already make sure you are supplementing your electrolytes, its common in the beginning to feel so good that you don't think you need to add anything extra, then after the wonderful amazing energy fades you may find your body starts cramping up and your energy is gone and now you have massive headaches. I'm not saying its a definite but I've seen many many go through that pattern, as did I. there is a thread in the launch pad about electrolytes that you may find helpful if you haven't already read it
