Walked w/DH and Bean yesterday (8.39 total miles for 18,323 steps) and today (7.74 total miles for 16,891 steps). We spent part of each day w/DDD, SIL and Ronan Nicholas at the hospital and then the other part here at home w/Bean. We had a blanket the kids used to wrap Ronan and put it on Bean's bed. He slept with his head on it all night last night. Bean met Ronan this afternoon and was very excited. It was pretty darn cute!
I will get back on the bike tomorrow.

Here is Ronan Nicholas...1 day old
Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to make it smaller.
He's pretty cute!

Ohhhh, he's so beautiful already, Chris! He's got a little cupid's bow mouth. Have you all decided who he looks like yet?
Congratulations again!

Chris no worries, saved me the trouble of enlarging it to see his cute "cupids bow" mouth! Wow, we are now full circle. All the time leading up to the wedding. And now this! What an adorable little guy Ronan is.
Keep sharing photos with us gals. I never get bored of baby pictures.

Sorry everyone. Got a call around midnight that the kids were having troubles. We went over and took Ronan into the living room for a few hours so the kids could sleep. He was good for us. We came home mid morning, slept, went back around 1:00 until 8:30 this evening. I think things will be fine now. We'll go back tomorrow afternoon if everything works out as planned. But ya never know. I'll keep you posted. I have two pictures DH has to help me with before I can send them.
Chris0 -
Paula...don't ya just love Cupid's Bow??? Thanks!
Chris0 -
Chris, that's so very very wonderful that you and DH have a flexible schedule and can help the kids out. win win win, you them and the babe.

Had a most wonderful day today. My brothers new wife is one of those people who is really good at organizing things that she thinks people will like and involving everyone who would like to be there. One of my nephews (her stepson) was in town and she arranged for his family (with 2 little boys), her husband - my brother (with 2 little girls) and my niece (with 2 more little girls) and spouses to all come up and visit today. We had so much fun.
They got to see the first fox in our backyard in a decade; There were ravens clustered, deer roaming and turkey buzzards swooping overhead. Then they each got to pick a toy from my collection to play with; got to run around the backyard next door (big and wild and fun for little kids). Then we went to the playground, had a picnic, and went swimming just as the sun came out.
My niece (4yr) and grand-nephew (5yr) are now engaged. So cute! Niece (6yr) chose to get on the bouncy toy shaped like a backhoe (engineer in the making) while grandneice (5yr) rode the pony. Baby (1yr) smiled and smiled and smiled. And grandnephew (3yr) was cold, so he casually came over, climbed up on my lap, and snuggled - oh man am I in love!
So very wow wow wow.

Looks like you both had baby and little children time. Wonderful. I had puppy time! Paula has Joey made it there yet? I am so worried about him.
Chris that was wonderful of you both to help out. And you get baby time.
Paula I want your day! That sounded wonderful.
Hope Kathy is having fun.
I have had the cleaning bug. You would think I just had a baby! Oiling wood even! I loved this weeks challenge. It was tough with my shoulder, but I modified where I needed to.

Paula what a wonderful day! So much to do and see!
Walked w/DH this morning 5.10 miles in 98 mins (7.09 miles for 15,283 steps) then got on the bike for 15.00 miles in 55 mins and some Ray Donovan then got caught up on our arm exercises...took me an hour!! Then we went over and helped DDD out while SIL went to a wedding of their friends. Then came home and did the dishes.
Unfortunately, I've discovered vanilla graham crackers...dun...dun...dun...this girl is out of control. It must end soon. The elastic on my jogging pants only stretches so far.
Working on the pictures.

At our monthly potluck tonight, one friend loved my bean dip (2 cans refried beans + 1 jar picante sauce) so he got the leftovers. Bless his heart for saving me from the chips. One part strength giving them away replaces 100 parts strength trying to avoid eating them later

SOOOO TRUE!!!!
Walked w/DH this morning for 5.0 miles in 101 mins then got on the recumbent for 16.0 miles in 56 mins and some Ray Donovan then did our arm challenge then some stretching then went over to DDD's and played w/Ronan!
Chris0 -
Chris,
How is Bean doing?
Paula0 -
Bean is the very best protector you have ever seen! DH and I will have Ronan in the living room while Bean and the kids sleep. When the door is opened, Bean trots over to where I have Ronan and checks to see everything is okay. He paces when Ronan cries and lays on the bed and watches him. Such a wonderful pup! I hope they grow up to be best friends.
Walked w/DH this morning for 5.0 miles (6.50 total miles for 14,000 steps) then got on the bike for 16.00 miles in 56 mins and some Ray Donovan then did a yoga challenge then went to play w/our new grandbaby!! A good Monday!
Chris0 -
Chris how sweet Bean is! That is wonderful. They will be great friends.
Paula you are so right. Give it away! Rah, rah, rah, shake those pom poms!
My new concrete molds arrived. I am off next week. So going to test them out!
