Ya I just got back from New York City dropping our GS off to begin college at St John's Univ.
Just rode the recumbent in the exercise room briefly. Rode to my WW meeting on Sunday and a nice short toot with DW on some local wetland trails yesterday.

Planning to do some rides next week-end as well as my daily stuff. How about you???

Well I went from trying to run to doing spin classes due to a knee injury and the doctor's suggestion. I am definitely out of shape now and just restarting activity. So just walking at the gym now, but I am looking forward to getting back to the spin classes. I did get my DS into riding his bicycle to work since he doesn't drive. I'll keep an eye here and will post once I get riding again.

Hi, peeps! I had ANOTHER crash Thursday night--I must be like a rolling stone of some sorts!

Went on a very slow 30-miler from my front door with a friend on the CX bike on Sunday, stopping at a local brewery at about mile 25, then at a local eatery (with another brew!) at about mile 28.

My brother is en route here from Arkansas on bike! He left last Tuesday, and was supposed to get here tomorrow for his 40th birthday, but he is running a little behind, so he may arrive on Thursday, or he may stop at some friends' about 100 miles out and just get a ride! He dipped down into Alabama and Georgia, so he's been coming up some mountains--was in Cherokee and Asheville past couple days.

Still riding to work. Weather on Saturday was iffy so I just rode my hybrid down to a park and back only about 8 miles but it was on the bike. Sunday was relaxed ride w/friends and family. should break 2300 miles for the year on the ride home today. Not sure where I was last year at this time but my total miles are always snow/ice dependent on when I can start commuting and when I have to stop commuting on the bike.

Just a couple short this week after the previous weeks' century. 22 solo miles on Saturday, 15 easy miles with DW on Sunday. Not sure about this upcoming weekend. I'm sure I'll do something!

Sorry about your crash lily, I'm assuming you're ok, since you kept on riding and drinking!

On a happy note, one of our close friends broke her collar bone last year. She's a leading bike advocate locally and does tons for the community. Due to a series of, in my opinion, poor treatment plans, she's been off her bike for over a year. Well yesterday was her first ride back (and she had another today), so it's a happy day!

Wow that sucks Mark. Hard to imagine missing a year from a broken collar bone even with surgery. Hmmmm. I used a stationary bike a few days after breaking mine and also "turned my handlebars upwards" to do some outdoor riding.
So sorry she had such a long layoff. Sheesh!!!
Glad to hear she is back doing some riding.

Thx Bob, yeah it was a long hard ordeal for her, especially since another guy in our group broke his collarbone during that time and he was riding two weeks later!
