Hopefully finally get out to paddle after the hurricane finally passes since it's always beautiful after a big storm. It's been over two weeks since I've been on the water and I'm going through withdrawals. Though the water may be a bit funky after the storm from regular storm debris and since one of the local counties has been dumping their waste water into the bay (they claim it's just the rain run-off...right).

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Thanks @Montepulciano !! Looks like I might have to put off paddling for one more day...still getting storms in the area, even though the hurricane is long gone. At least I got some flowers planted this morning after my marathon of weeding yesterday (has been on my to do list for weeks), and they are benefiting from the rain. Not sure if the rain will move through so I can paddle later today or if I will have to wait until tomorrow after church. Still can't believe the weatherman was right about the rain for today...*shakes head*. On a good note, the forecast calls for 'smooth' waters for tomorrow... :sunglasses:

Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!

I'm on the road quite a bit too. I've found that it helps to be familiar with the menus of chain restaurants. Sometimes it can get boring eating the same thing, but I know what I'm putting into my body...
The hard part for me is combating the munchies, so I cart around a lunch cooler stocked with protein laden goodies. Don't forget the water!

Good point. I should get a small cooler that I can carry with me when I travel.

I have been pushing the water consumption... Although I normally carry a reusable water bottle at work, I figured, being on the road, it might be safer to buy bottled water.

Get a small cooler and put a biohazard sticker and 'human organs' sticker on it. Lunchtime should be peaceful.
