First weekly goal:
Well new week and a new start as this week I start the new job so my goal is to not start any bad habits. LOL
So I will just stay focused on staying calm. Maybe I will add something else come wednesday.2 -
Good luck with the week. Exciting!
As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm going to a running camp (Thursday through Sunday) this week, so getting through everything I need to get done on Monday through Wednesday AND getting in my workouts will be a challenge. I'm also going to work on logging consistently and not snacking on stupid stuff at work (which I tend to do when stressed).
I've been having lots of stress this summer (long story, not worth getting into), and my old bad habits with stress eating have come back strong, so focusing on journaling and not using food for self-comfort is another thing I'll work on this week (and probably all challenge).
No specific weight loss goals, as although I'd like to lose a bit more feeling like I can maintain comfortably is my big goal.2 -
My first weekly goal is to successfully complete the first week of my workout program. Not big, but it's a step towards my goals.3
-
Week 1
Eat quality food,
log it,
stay within calorie goals,
some type of activity 5 of 7 days,
lose 2 pounds.
2 -
Eat at home, saves calories and money!
Eat healthier carbs so I don't need as much insulin.
Walk or bike ride 4 days.
Get the huge "to-go" pile out of my house. We are trying to work through boxes of stuff from when we sold our old house and the clutter is stressing me out! Maybe I can convince the teenagers to take it to Goodwill for me?4 -
Completed my first day.
Some other goals I have:
Drink 8 8oz servings of water daily (64 oz total)
Properly portion meals to stay within my calorie allocation (HelloFresh meals can sometimes be pretty high cal).2 -
No eating out this week. I just got back to school 2 weeks ago and I tend to eat out for the first few weeks.2
-
My goals for the week are:
Walk 10,000+ steps per day
Walk up 10+ floors per day
Eat >1200 calories but < 1430 calories each day
Drink 8 cups of water each day
I nailed it yesterday and am on track today.0 -

I use the step counter on my phone and can't seem to meet my 6000 step goal. :-( But I also don't carry it everywhere. Maybe it's time to invest in a legitimate step counter?

I like that I can just attach it to my clothes in the morning and not even think about it other than to check periodically to make sure I am going to meet my target.0 -
I use Pacer App on phone. I know I miss a lot of steps. Just can't afford Fit Bit...0

Yes, they are definitely pricey. I was lucky that when I got mine my husband worked for Future Shop and I got the staff discount otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford it either.1 -
I paid 60 for my fitbit one have had it over a year so it's less than a dollar a week. It's all how you look at the cost. Plus walking is my activity.

I know it would def be worth it. Just don't have money. My friend has a super cute one with paw prints. Would be perfect for me!0

Halfway through the week. Doing well with food and logging. Starting to do better with activity. Hopefully, the 2 pounds will follow.2 -

I fumbled a bit on the first day with eating, but since then I've rebounded and back on track. Weight loss this week might be questionable (cycle started today), but I'm not craving too badly so far, have been going out for 20 minutes in the morning (and getting some jog sessions in), lifting, and doing well with water. So halfways through and has been majority gold star.4

The Fitbit One. I prefer the kind you can clip to your shirt/bra because I found the ones on my wrist counted steps while I was typing on my computer at work.

I've done well this week with food choices. I'm tweaking my foods a bit this week to eat more nutritiously and purposefully. I'm also working on being more active. Better food + better sleep = more energy and better focus.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Today is the end of the week for me. So updated the spreadsheet. Eating cleaned up much more after the first stumble. We ate out yesterday for lunch after booking our wedding venue, so it wasn't the healthiest option, but I split in in half and spread it over two meals and picked some healthier sides. It was super delicious, which is great since it's also the place that caters for our venue. I made sure to get out and exercise as according to my little schedule book, plus some extra (we walked a little bit after visiting the venue, since we had time before the cafe opened and there's a super nice park nearby, plus walked each evening with my fiance for his workout, and walked to a local place to get breakfast tacos this morning). I'm definitely seeing early losses, which is nice considering what I ate yesterday.1

@JMarcella57 Excellent planning!
@Lulaica Congrats on the losses and great job with the walking!
I love discovering new places to walk. There are so many where I live that I haven't been to before. A friend introduced me to another place that ends at a small light house with a stunning view especially at sunset.
Have a wonderful Thursday all!1
