Thoughts on oblation procedure

I'm getting an oblation done soon and wondered if anyone has had it done and thoughts on its effectiveness? My next step is a hysterectomy if this doesn't help.

I had the procedure, and for 6 mths period free and it was wonderful. Period came back recently, but only 1 "regular" and one that lasted only 1 day. Dr said I have trapped fluid, which can happen. I might have to have it cathetered out. Still, all and all I'm happy with results. Cravings came back a little though with water gain. I'm combating those.

I have had moments where I've considered ablation. But I'm hoping to just wait it out.0

It changed my life. I was literally bleeding to death and hormones weren't slowing anything down. Like you, if it didn't work, I was going to have to have a hysterectomy. It has been three years and I will occasionally have some minor spotting but that is it.
I had the NovaSure ablation, if that information helps...0
