I've recently become vegan (week and a half) and was wondering what everyone's favorite vegan documentaries/speeches/youtubers/etc. are. I just watched Gary Yourofsky's speech and also watch youtubers Mango Island Mamma and Bonny Rebecca

I'm also a new vegan! My favorite documentaries are Forks Over Knives and Earthlings. On YouTube I like to watch Kate Flowers. She's a raw vegan which I'm not interested in trying but I like her personality. I also like Healthy Crazy Cool and Hot for Food.0

Cowspiracy was the one that first made me aware but otherwise I love James Asprey. Check out his channel.1

I agree Cowspiracy is pretty great. It's on Netflix (USA).0

I am newly vegan as well. I tried a few years ago but did not stick with it for various reasons, but this time it feels different.
Vegucated is one of my favorite documentaries. I also watched "Got the facts on milk?" which was pretty interesting as a (former) cheese lover. It has helped me no longer want to eat cheese and view it as a non-food item... (although the treatment of cows will always be the #1 reason for me).
I really love the you tuber Cheap Lazy Vegan.
I started reading "The Starch Solution" which I have found helpful so far especially because it's from a MD's point of view.
I found a blog post a few days ago that has a lot of books, documentaries and tips that I really enjoyed. I actually printed it off and plan to watch as many of the docu's as I can. http://kissmyvegan.blogspot.com/p/my-favorites.html
Also, I am looking for some Vegan MFP friends so please add me!1 -
Forks over Knives, Cowspiracy...I read Dr. Neal Banard's book Program on Preventing Diabetes. My diet is now High Carb Low Fat Vegan. I just ordered The Starch Solution and am planning on reading it. I like to watch High Carb Hannah on You Tube.1
