Does anyone have their MFP food diary set to public? If so, how do I see it? Would like some guidance or ideas. Thanks.

I'm thinking you have to be on the website/desktop in order to see diaries and profiles that are public. I've definitely noticed that the website and the app are very different in what they show and do. I use both.1

Mine *might* be, but you'd have to hop skip and jump back a year to see any good LC data... I haven't tracked here in a while.0

mine is public, take a look if you want to.0

I'm pretty sure mine is public - I've been tracking consistently for over a year.0

Mine is public to everyone, feel free to check it out!0

I'm public too, but I've been lousy about logging lately. A month ago I was much better.0

Mine is public, I've been pretty good about logging, even the naughty bits this past weekend.0

Just FYI - I tried to look at diaries for those who posted their's were public. I could not see them on my phone. However, I could see my "friends" diaries. Feel free to shoot me a friend request if you'd like.0

In order to see them on mobile you have to copy the link (hold your finger on it til 'copy' comes up on iOS) and paste it into a Safari browser window. Then click their name once the page is up and you'll see a link to "view diary" it's a process, but it can be done.
I don't know how it works on other phones0 -
Will someone check mine and provide some feedback or I could just post a day or a few days here.0

Mine is also open to the public.0

So I took a quick look-see through your diary and the only thing that really jumps out at me is that your protein might be a little low. I'm a 5' 6&1/2 inch tall woman myself and I get roughly 100g protein every day (that's about 25% macro-wise for but then I'm in maintenance and my focus right now is on strength training, toning up and building muscle). I'm assuming that since you are a man that you are probably taller than I am, yes? You had one day of like 80g protein which would probably be on the low side for a man unless you are very short man...?? If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you?0 -
I am 5 feet 9 inches tall. And 233 pounds right now. Trying to lose. Since I am trying to lose should my protein still be increased some.0

Lol, same with mine. I know it's public, just that I'm not sure how far back you can go to see it.

Mine is open too. But I live in Japan, so the veggies are weird!0

@ladipoet So since I am trying to lose weight, does my protein intake still seem low with me being 5 ft 9 inches tall and 233 pounds. Thanks0

There's probably some way to do it. I just don't know how on Android.
When I hold my finger on a name this is the screen I get after a second.

I am a 5' 8" man and losing weight and I routinely get in 110 to 125 grams of protein daily.0 -

@MyriiStorm - Generally, you press and hold... OR double or triple clicking gets the selectors to come up, then drag each end to make sure it covers all of what you want to copy. Then, their will either be images that tell you copy, paste, etc. or you can press and hold what you selected, which will bring up an option to copy text (depends on what you're in)...0 -
Thanks @ccrdragon ... what is your current weight if you don't mind me asking? Are you active or sedentary?
Many thanks.0 -
I currently weigh 223 (as of this morning) and while I have my activity level set at sedentary (I am a software engineer so I sit 8-9 hours a day), I do fairly intense workouts (weights and HIIT) 5 days a week.0
-
@ccrdragon ... I am sedentary. More active than I used to be. I try to get at least 12,000 steps in a day. So, would your HIIT and weights require more protein? Or is it just based on what you have in your settings for MFP?
Thanks agian.0 -

If you are getting at least 12,000 steps in a day - you are not sedentary.
1) <5000 steps.d (sedentary);
2) 5000-7499 steps.d (low active);
3) 7500-9999 steps.d (somewhat active);

Even if you don't consider yourself highly active because you may not purposely be going out to run or lift, you are more active than you think.0 -
I do that much protein because I want to have muscle left when I finish losing the weight - I want to be fit and not skinny and soft.2
-
I know that's right... I am trying to do the same.0

Amen to that @ccrdragon. Thanks for tagging me and also for answering OP's question re his protein levels.collegefbfan wrote: »@ladipoet So since I am trying to lose weight, does my protein intake still seem low with me being 5 ft 9 inches tall and 233 pounds. Thanks
Yes...however, I see you already got some good advice above from @ccrdragon and @samanthaluangphixay.0 -

Even if you don't consider yourself highly active because you may not purposely be going out to run or lift, you are more active than you think.
This is interesting. I consider myself pretty "sedentary" and not very active. But, I average over 12k steps a day on work days. On busy work days, I can hit 16-18k steps. This might explain my higher than predicted (by the formulas) calorie burn. I usually have to check "active or very active" to get even close to the amount I eat to remain weight stable. Still, I don't think I am all that active. LOL2
