I noticed we have six or seven new group members in the last week or so. If any of the newbies are seeing this, please don't hesitate to jump in and introduce yourselves. Don't be intimidated by all of the daily threads. Anyone can start a thread at any time. If it's something clearly off topic, label it as such, otherwise, anything sort of weight loss related is always welcome.

hey, I'm new here. I'm fred. Irish, live in Liverpool. been on and off here for a few years. have managed to lose 60lbs in 5 months through changing my diet. went to a gym today for the first time in ages. anytime I've tried to lose weight in the past i didn't really change my diet, i just tried to lose it all at the gym. the time I've done things the other way around. sorted my diet first, and then rejoined the gym.
doing a food shop with a list, figuring out which foods fill me up with least calories, discovering new foods and teaching myself how to cook nice meals has been great fun. I'm working hard to adjust my diet to the point that i dont think of it as a diet. i think of it as my "normal". could do with a few more male friends though, so feel free to add me. my diary is open and usually filled in1 -
Welcome Fred. Sounds like you get it now - weight management is a lifestyle change, not a temporary diet.0
