Oh my, Monday already.... Better late than never :p

Confession time - I've been dabbling for way too long (over 1 yr). Too much food, to little exercise, not enough discipline...weight has slowly gone up and I'm 7-8kg over my low, where I was pretty happy. My clothes are getting tight! Summer was never my weightloss season, thus with fall starting, I'm starting a new....again :#

There was a time when I came home from work and did a Jillian work out, push ups or a work out on my rebounder...long ago it seems. I have decided to go back to what was good for me. Went running yesterday and jumped on my rebounder as soon as I got home today. Just 15min, but its a start and I will increase it. Added some weights while jumping and also did 3*5 push ups. I want to make this a habit again as my weight was more stable and my muscles firmer, when I did this regularly. So please ask me, if I did any exercising :p Need to make it a priority. If anyone wants to join me, we could make an exercise thread for motivation.

Had a good fast today. Toying with the idea of a B2B as the meals are already in my fridge...fennel/carrot soup and veggie/chicken chili. It would be a no brainer, if I can turn off my tummy in the morning :p

Have a great week!

@mamainthekitchen - ie last weeks thread - this year I did have quite a bit of vacation...7 weeks, normally I get 4.5 weeks...and I was in Iceland, Austria and England/Edinburgh...which is alot for me too. Normally I spend alot of my vacation days at 'home' and travel once a year at the most. So yes...I enjoyed myself B) Next year there will be less travelling and lots of fun stuff like choosing my new kitchen, bath, flooring, etc and also saving some money for my new apartment ;) Thus it will be another type of adventure.

Fast day for me today. On Saturday, my husband and I went on a Volksmarch in our town. It was a walking event with the choice of a 5km or 10km distance. We were having a lovely time on a beautiful day so we went for the 10km. Some people have done these walking events all over the country and even the world. It was fun to see parts of our town that we otherwise missed while driving. The people we met were friendly and happy to be active. We may do some more of these events since we had a good time.

Sounds like a cool event! Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

Day 2 of my new start ;-)
A little over on the second day of my B2B but that's OK. I jumped on my rebounder and did 3*6 push ups today. Thus I am on track. Let's keep it that way.

Great Sanjo! I've been on a walking event before and I also went on streets/paths where I was unaware of the hidden routes before. Although some areas were too remote to go unless in a crowd! Glad you tried something fun & nice of your husband to join you :)

Flumi I like you're idea of starting fresh and congrats on dusting off the 'old rebounder! For myself, I'm trying to remember every day to read thru last years food diary, a sort of "a year ago today I ate..." and I'm surprised by the creative 500 cal days I included and also non fd foods! I've forgotten how dedicated I was to watching what I ate. I'm finding reading a weeks worth of last years food diaries has been helpful. Today I'm going to make notes in my phone about what to eat... "this day last year I ate..." maybe a silly time waster, but I got the time, so I'll be silly :p I'll also match you on the push ups.... 3 sets of 6? And I'll raise you 3 planks for 20sec! >:)

Was thinking about those planks anyway, so I'm in.

Not silly at all to go back to what was fun and worked. Might do that myself! Good tip!

    Awesome Flumi! Way to go!

Yesterday I only walked 4.3km (due to finding stray dog...!) but put in 37mins weight training with our home gym then as per Flumi's inspiring post I did 3x6 push ups ---- however, my third set was about 3 hours after the first 2 as my arms were on fire!!! (I'm doing real ones not those girly style ones, hope that's the same for you Flumi). Planks are easier for me and still did 1 set after each push up set. Stay tuned for today! (I'm on the pacific coast here) any other 5:2rs game to take on a challenge? Or maybe just a monthly exercise brag thread because everyone does different exercises... i.e. I don't cycle, climb or dance.... thoughts?

Yo Mama...I don't do girly push ups

Those planks weren't easy for me...it's been a while. Thanks for the nudge!

    ^^^ :D:*

Well you there is no way I could increase to sets of 7...... I put a pillow under my head so I didn't collapse and smash my teeth in exhaustion! :# Maybe I'm dipping too low... (is that a good excuse my my weakling arms?) 3*6 PU & 3 planks DONE!

No teeth smashing! Just do what you can and see how you improve. It's a challenge with yourself not with anyone else.

No cardio today, but a 3rd fast and 3 sets of 8 push ups / 20s planks. Very happy with my week and will go for a run or jump on my rebounder tomorrow.

Yes to planks and regulation push-ups! Squats and lunges too. 663 cal 'fast' for me today. My favorite tortillas were out of stock and I substituted with higher-calorie ones that put me over my limit . . .

My fd got ruined today... just hungry! Had a gorgeous walk in my new runners after a monsoon rain last night though, so all is not lost. Managed 2*6 PU's and 2 planks for 30s ea.... I'm doing weights tomorrow and don't want my shoulders feeling like rubber!

That's still a decent fast in my book Sanjo! I'm out for dinner tomorrow night... hoping there'll be good choices! Have a great weekend everyone! Happy planking!

That happens sometimes, mama. Glad you enjoyed your walk!

Sanjo - that still counts in my book!

A little over my cals today. but still close enough.

Visited Arnita Champion for an awesome 40min rebounding session and did 3 sets of 8 push ups / 20s planks in the three minute break B) Shower and done for the day.... School all day tomorrow, thus no exercise. Will do the push ups and planks first thing though. Busy on Sunday too, but I will try to get in at least a short session on the rebounder.

Have an awesome Friday and a great weekend.
