Am I Doing This Right?

Brand new to this website. Brand new to this group, of course. Brand new to this type of weight-loss approach.

Do I fit in here?
I'm 37, 5'8" and 255 lbs. Various health issues and meds over the last decade and my weight has ballooned up over 100 lbs! A friend suggested that I check this place out for jumpstarting some weight loss, now that health issues and meds have been sorted. This group is the first that popped up for me and the name interested me.

Maybe I should have titled this "I Have Stupid Questions"....

I need to purchase a scale. I don't want to post in the spreadsheet until I do. Recommendations? Anything on Amazon would be good, yay for Prime shipping!

    Hey! Welcome :)

For scales, I can't really recommend a specific one. I would recommend one that is digital and gives you your approximate body fat percentage. You really don't need one with too many gimmicks on it!

I'm pretty new here (just found this group at the end of last week ... but as to your question "Do I fit in here?" - if you want to lose weight by Christmas - YES! Welcome & good luck!

As for scales - I don't know if you have a Fitbit, but I use the Fitbit Aria - I love it because it automatically updates my fitbit weight and my My Fitness Pal weight (I have them connected) - it also shows fat %.
