I ordered the Precision Xtra blood ketone/glucose meter (kit actually). I REALLY want to be successful at this. I'm hoping this helps me figure my body out and what exactly the carb, protein, etc goal should be for myself. Anyone else use this?

Let us know how it goes. May have to check into this. Was it really expensive?0

The "Kit" was $106.........Here's the link to it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X6BMUSU/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The test strips are expensive. They run about $5 each. So I won't use it daily.......maybe weekly...........unless we all buy one and then we can contact the manufacturer for a bulk order! lol Kidding. I think checking makes sense and hopefully, I can get my nutrition goals where they should be and know how to keep them there after a series of testing to see how my body is responding.0 -
That's rite! I may need to look into getting something else to check. I have the sticks and it always show light to medium range, would like to know the exact number.0

I've read the breathalyzer is accurate. The urine strips are only supposed to be accurate in the beginning. I ordered the breath tester tubes (before I bit the bullet and ordered the meter) and received that package yesterday....I may use one tonight to test. You have to do things in certain order....like waiting for 15 minutes after your last meal or drink, exhale for 30 seconds into the tube (you can take 2-3 times to achieve that).......and I didn't have those steps at home last night. lol The tubes are about $3 each test. I got a kit of 10 tubes....I'll try to test tonight and post my results in the morning! I just feel like finding an accurate test to determine how our body is responding and doing the necessary tweaking to our goals, is the way to go. Once we get those numbers, then it's just getting into the grove of routine.0
