I did it! I was sleeping Monday morning. The first night was rough I can't lie... dry heaves, asking God why did I do this? Second and third nights we're better. Today is the 4th day and I'm hangry. Must mean I'm healing right?

Everyone reacts differently to the surgery. I was fortunate enough to not have any dry heaves or nausea afterward, just the usual pain from surgery, incisions, etc.

Sounds like you are progressing along pretty much accordingly. Be sure to drink enough protein (sips of course). It will help your body to physically heal and also satiate your hunger. Sugar free popsicles were my best friend for the first week.

I wish you all the best of luck and congratulations!

Congrats! I get sleeved on 11/29. I'm getting nervous.. excited.. scared.. oh my. Mostly excited though.
Feel free to add me! It'd be great to have some going through this with pretty much the same timing!

Congrats and good luck to both of you! I had gastric bypass on April 18th...best decision ever! I had some pain in my incision sites. It heaved and threw up when I tried to incorporate soft solids which for me was week 2-3 after surgery. I tried too much too fast and too rich of foods.

Really good sites to check out for both products and recipes:

The World According to Eggface - ricotta bake is awesome and a great food to start when getting back into solids

Bariatric Foodie - LOVE her taco casserole which I believe is also good for soft good stages

Bariatric Eating - really like her protein shakes that she sells, and she has a great recipe for no pie pumpkin pie and manicotti which are awesome. Really like her protein crunchers, all in one multi vitamin and Hair Balance vitamin. Unfortunately you pretty much can't return anything which stinks

Eat The Bear - LOVE their protein powder and great macros

Bariatric Choice - TONS of products and also great return policy

The World According to Eggface blog has some excellent suggestions for the liquid diet phase, too!
