Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

Saturday night, as I walked through Chicago O'Hare Airport, it was transformed for the Christmas holiday season. Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all!!

By the way, I have created the December UAC sign in page. It is my fervent hope that you choose to hang in here with me! I need you and we each need each other! This Ultimate Accountability Challenge (UAC) is focused on being open with friends who yearn to share their journey with each other...The victories, setbacks, and sometimes even self-deprecation. Let's hold each other up by being real and being supportive in December.

Here you go. This is nuts. I got a three day trial membership at a new gym.
So yesterday I went there with some spin and sit ups in mind. So I ain't been on a spin bike in a while. Here is me remembering that I can run my heart tighter on them things than just climbing. Mr. Knee can still spin like a gerbil though.
But this chart is me attempting 15 minutes of spin and 15 sit ups. I should be saying machine crunches. But I am running my heart too tight and I can't get 15 minute sets.
So here is today's idea. 15 minute sets at 83% HR. I can't believe I am too wimpy to play outside. Oh, wind. 32 degrees and windy. Spin bike, will he pony up the money for a membership?

Here is better heart rate management. Got me an average of 86%. Didn't slip into the 90s.
156 is redline for me. It don't feel good to run in the 90s. But this is alright. That is 650 cals according to Mr. Wizard. I weighed in at that minimum I been bragging about. I might have a beer and see if disaster happens. I tell you what it is for beer. I lose my dietary resolve. That'd be day one. Day two I get like insatiable appetite. I manage it more often than not though. I have to be deliberate though.

Hancock Tower. You guys got me pegged for being a little bit crazy I am sure. But this here Hancock tower is like 1,100 feet high. Chicago is like 700 feet above sea level. My heart and lungs are acclimated to like 6,000 MSL. That is where my climbing starts.
Madness. My regular climb is like 2,000 feet in 90 minutes. How would that scale to me climbing Hancock? Could I climb Hancock twice in 90 minutes? (and I think it would be fair if I rode the elevator down.)

@bocasdelbob - Whatever it is you do, I am very impressed. But, just to be clear...are you scaling rock cliffs 2000 feet high or climbing in elevation on your bike? I can't decide which is even possible!

NOVEMBER 28 - Here are my mere mortal accomplishments:
    - Exercise - Yes, Body Pump 60 minutes, Pilates 45 minutes
    - Tracking - Yes
    - Calories - Yes

    Yes x 3
I got back in the gym since last Wednesday. We did 10 100m reverse sprints which was entertaining.
I logged and stayed well below my goal.
I gotta say I love getting back into routine after being on vacation last week. Makes it easier to eat better and exercise more.

@bocasdelbob is our Superman on the mountain bike!!
My day is at 670' above sea level
    Exercise: 40 minutes of HIIT
Calories: really good today, but barely ok yesterday
    Tracking: good
@Shutterbuggg your reverse sprints sound impressive too

Well, I live at sea level, so all that elevation sounds like a good challenge to me. Climbing up the sledding hills at 6000 feet elevation last week made me feel it! I can only imagine the workout on a bike!

Looking forward to the December challenge and a clean slate, like you said @2020pinktogo!

11/28 3 x yes (not that I am still in the game)
@fitqueenbess, I might be more than a little delusional about climbing the Hancock building but I still wonder about it.
I don't know that my knees will put up with stair climbing. I might test that out today.
But my climbing is bicycle climbing. I get my 90 minute 2000 foot elevation gain in a 6.3 miles one way. That is like 4 mph.
That is an average grade of like 6%. So really not too bad of a hill. There is a 13% section though. On Memorial Day they close US 550 between Durango and Silverton for bicyclists. I been doing that for a long time. That is a big hill, 6000 elevation gain. But I think my knees might only tolerate the motion and stresses associated with spin or bicycling.
But here is the annual pilgrimage that I am always training for. https://vimeo.com/131618256
This vimeo has my old guy heros in it. Ned Overend talking about oxygen deprivation. Annie Toth is in there, well, she ain't exactly old. But see that one guy talking about 15 pound skinny tire bikes. I'll be the crazy old guy on a thirty pound mountain bike. Heh. I never win.
