An interesting article on building muscle in older people

    That's encouraging! I felt that in myself and I have worked hard the last 3.5 years to do just that and it seems to have worked. I need to just keep it going now!

    So far, gaining muscle hasn't been problematic for me. Losing weight, however....

    I think the article implies two things. Number one, keep working it, number two, old people have a severe disadvantage in muscle growth compared to younger people. I tried lifting like a young person a few years ago and kept hurting myself. Now I lift almost daily and do it while realizing my limitations. I can't lose weight either, but I think it probably requires more food for older people to feed those old muscles than for younger people to just grow more.

    That's interesting. I'm 52 but I find myself getting stronger.
