@tishsmith101 - It's Wednesday, inquiring minds need to know, did you fire up your new stove yet?

I'm really back at it! Found my groove again, after many weeks off. This is my second/third week of seriously sticking to it again after several failed weeks of pretending... At first you don't succeed, Try....again and again. Down another pound. this week, for a total of 4.5, (after a 25 pound regain over the summer and fall.) ARG! Getting back at it setting an 11 week goal til vacation.

    Under carbs :)
    Under calories :)
    Logging and measuring - yes!
    Exercise/movement -Done today :)
    Water, Broth, teas! :)
Planning ahead - Brought lunch and dinner is in the fridge!

I was doing great today in terms of calories, carbs, macros (and sleep last night). I had a gyn visit tonight and they commented on my slimness and overall healthiness, so yay. ;) (I first met this ob/gyn when I was 30w pregnant with twins ... I'm about 60 lbs less than I was then. ;))

Then tonight I stress-ate a caramel brownie and half a chocolate chip cookie. I have to admit, they were amazing, but obviously not within my macros.

Going to do YAYOG now though and try to go to bed by 11. REALLY need to work on moving bedtime earlier.

I had to up my carbs due to my dry eyes. I had no idea that low carb would cause that!

Next week, I will start back on low carbs with a weekly moderate carb day.

I am really enjoying learning about how the body processes nutrients. Keto is such a great tool for a healthy lifestyle.

I have changed my goals - I am now having 50 grms of carbs a day instead of 20 grms - apparently less than 50 grms can mess up with the thyroid gland. True or not I am not taking that chance.

After reading "The Book of Fasting" by Jason Fung, I am going for the one meal a day route with restricted carbs.

    Steadily lising weight.

After upping my carbs this week, I was afraid to step on the scale. I actually got some surprising results!

    For the week:
    No change in weight
    -0.7% change in Body Fat
-1 inch change in Waist size

Hope you all had a great week as well! Off to week 2!

Apparently it actually does happen to some people. I'm sorry you are one of them. I have the same problem. But I have some sort of Sjogren's Syndrome symptoms as well, so dry eyes plus fatigue, dry mouth, dry nose, and etc. It's a separate thing I've developed, yay... Not caused by keto but sure doesn't mesh with keto. Severe dry-eye person goes keto? Bad, bad, bad. It's still bad with low-carb, but keto makes it so much worse. I'm not going up any higher than 100-150 to see if it helps more.

But in my experience with this crap so far, a carb up day will help. I need to do that myself, but I'm also doing a gluten elim so see if I have any sensitivity causing the Sjogren's junk, so it's really hard for me to get high enough carb without eating sugar. I don't like rice much. I suppose I could get some sweet potatoes...or eat more beans? It's a crazy thing being a low-carber who can't get in enough carbs.

    Ah!
I bought the dude book because I was doing it with my son. Whew! After the 10th week (the end of the program), he quit and refused to do any more. I'm proud of him sticking with it though. That was hard even for me. I really do hate push-ups so much. I think I may make him do it again in the spring when it warms up. But maybe the videos instead. I will finally get those pull-ups or die trying!

Dry-eye sufferer here too. Funny, 50gs. carbs seems to be the sweet spot for me as well.
I also have dry skin which also seems to act up with very low carb. =/<20g.

    Under carbs :)
    Under calories :)
    Logging and measuring - yes!
Exercise/movement - Not today. Knee is acting up.
    Water :)
Planning ahead - Brought lunch- Dinner?

Stressing out a bit - seriously thinking about ending it with BF. It's a hard decision, do I go with my head or my heart.

    December goals:

    Under 50 net carbs :)

Take a walk (can be subbed for other exercising) at least 3 days per week :s

Limit Halo Top to no more than 4 nights a week...it fits in my carbs but it's becoming a nightly habit.... :)

    Drink more liquids :|

Maintain weight +/- 5 lbs for water retention/hormone fluctuations :)

I've been so busy I forgot to check in until now! It was a good week overall except the walks. IDK what's wrong with me. Winter has me hibernating. :( I lost a couple of pounds to hit a new low. I'm still figuring out maintenance.

@slimzandra - We used the stovetop Wed-Thurs but I didn't use the oven until yesterday LOL

It was really nice, amazing what results you can get not using a 20 year old stove.
