Food Delivery Services?

For months before I even started talking to my VSG surgeon, I was getting Green Chef deliveries, one of those food box subscription services where they send you a box of ingredients with recipes each week. I LOVED it. The food was healthy and tasty and I dropped some weight just from switching to it.
Now that I'm post-surgery and a week away from eating solid foods again, I'd like to resume the service. The portions are large, so I'm thinking I could just eat the Green Chef meals all week and not have to worry about other food. I will wait a few weeks to see how solid foods go, then resume deliveries. Has anyone tried this type of food service post surgery? Any thoughts on my plan? Thank you!

I don't know, could be a slippery slope into the old ways of eating. Remember at this point from your surgery date, you're probably supposed to be looking at 800 cal/day. A lot of those pre packaged things can be carb and calorie dense. Remember that, especially in the first year, protein is your number one goal, and that carbs take up a lot of space in your new stomach.1

The boxes are entirely fresh produce and proteins and mostly are made up of vegetables. I get the gluten free version so my boxes don't contain most carbs like pasta. Occasionally some rice or rice noodles, but I got those in maybe 3 meals over of 3 months. The highest calorie recipe I've seen was 900 cals (lowest was 350) and if I'm splitting a single serving into 2 or 3 meals, the calories are greatly reduced.
You're right that protein is an issue - I would be able to supplement leftover veggies with extra proteins not from the box, though. There is a paleo option that would probably also be gluten free.
At this point in my recovery it's definitely out. I get off the soft food diet on 12/19 and I was thinking of an adjustment period and then trying a box around mid January.
I really don't want to give it up because I really did love it, maybe I'm only trying to justify it to myself? I did lose weight just from switching to it pre-surgery. They were creative, healthy meals that I never would have made for myself using interesting ingredients I never would have bought.
