So I'm gone until after the holiday. I've gone to the dark side with CICO because I just had to have my holiday cookies this year and I felt really bad coming here supporting others when I was not practicing LCHF. I guess we all have a weakness and my homemade molasses cookies are mine. But I will be back. Until then...

Miuyki had 11 pups last night and this morning. I've lost count as to male/female but we have a mix of solid white and brown spotted. Archer, the dad, as you know is here every few days and he showed up yesterday morning and slept in the living room across from Miuyki all night and all this morning like he was keeping guard over her. Here are the first six. She decided to have them on the new dog bed I just bought next to my work desk instead of on the pallet we made for her in the spare room and it's a good thing she did. 2 of the pups were born blue, not breathing and I was able to do CPR on them and bring them back. (Finally using those nursing skills again)

Eh, I go back and forth with CICO, but have been pretty good staying low carb at least. This week has been too high calorie so far. Next week, I'll try to do better again. Congrats on the new grand-pups!

Thanks for the update! What breed/breeds of dog are the puppies? They are so cute!

@05_blondie they are Great Pyrenees. Both dogs are pure but don't have pedigrees. It just kinda worked out that way. They are great ranch dogs - very protective of livestock and kids. And beautiful, sweet dogs.

Cool. Then no problem finding homes for 11 babies on the Texas ranches. OMGosh. 11! Wishing health to all of them and Mom. Rest and sanity to "Grandma".

Looking forward to you getting back on your proper track towards your personal goal/s. Maybe keto isn't for you? There are many ways to effectively lose excess weight and achieve better health. I sure as "hello" wouldn't be eating this way (keto) if the Dystonia benefits were not there and am, in fact, currently experimenting with slightly higher carb (vegetable) intake. It's OK to not Keto. Lots of people do it and are healthy.

Stick around. Keep us apprised of the babies!

Poor thing, she looks exhausted! Hooray for you, being able to save the two pups, too. Quite an eventful night/morning for the family.

And don't worry about not "walking the walk" 24/7/365. We're all here for mutual support, no matter which WOE we choose.

Sweet puppies! And greetings from Houston, this is likely the closest I'll ever be to your neck of the woods. The cookies will be gone soon... You'll be baaaaack!

aww thanks everyone! I'm back now and back on track as of today. I weighed (gained about 5 lbs in Dec) and am logging again too. Started my day - VERY early with BPC and a trip to the airport for Anna. She's visiting family in TN this week. The pups are all doing great - we lost one the day they were born, mamma dog laid down and I didn't catch that one was under her in time but the 10 are fat, sassy, and can I say stinky? Wow....pups in the house....just stinky smelly babies for sure. I've cleaned them up twice since they were born but still just stinky! Eyes are opening and they are at that stage where they make those growly noises like Gremlins. Too much fun to watch and listen too.

Again, thanks for the support and well wishes!!
