Hi, I'm Jessica. This is my first challenge. I'll be turning 28 years old soon. I started on MyFitnessPal at 205 lbs and through my last job was able to get down in the 160s from being more active at work and following a calorie deficit. After switching jobs I'm back up to 180 lbs and need to get back on track. I hope to lose 45 lbs by the end of Summer or Fall to reach my ultimate goal weight. I'm really looking forward to this challenge!1

Happy New Year everyone!! My name is Pam. I am 52 years old and live in the Chicago area. I joined MFP in May 2014 at 190 lbs. I am down to 169 now with a goal of 150. I am committing to better tracking this year, as in the past that is really the only thing that helped me lose weight. I have never joined a challenge and am looking forward to both receiving support as well as supporting all of you! Let's do this!!!!1

Hello! So glad to see another challenge! This will take me into 2 years for this group and happy to be a part of it.
I didn't get to finish the last challenge as life happens came all at once for me.
I've gained some back and have the mindset to get that and my remaining weight off and hit my goal. Regardless, I won't give up!
Happy New Year!!1 -
Hi everyone! I did the last challenge and met my (very small and slow) goal, so I'm keeping it up with this one. The accountability helps me a lot.
I'm taking the slow and small changes route to eventually lose around 35 lbs. Best wishes to everyone!1 -
Hi everyone, I'm Ali and I'm 46yo. I have approximately 55lbs to lose and 20lbs would be a good target to start with.
I have been away for a while, but have now been able to return and feel very determined. I also have a six year old son and want to get fit, not just slim, to be able to keep up with him.1 -
Hi my name is Jodee. I live in Massachusetts. I have 10 year old boy/girl twins that keep me busy. I have been with my husband for18 years. I am 51 and need to focus on eating better and exercising. Look forward to joining you all again for another challenge, as it helps keep me more accountable. Got a bit lazy coming up to Christmas... but with the help of challenges have lost 17.4lbs in total previously. Good luck everyone!!0

Hey ladies! I'm 40 to be 41 in March and let's just say I call bull *kitten* on the saying "If you don't use it you lose it" to be completely accurate because in my case when I didn't use it I gained it.
Not using my body caused me to gain weight, gain lack of self confidence, and gain not liking photos, and not liking the mirror. Now I did lose energy and spark but who wants that. I would actually like to lose 31pds by April but I figure 20 is a fabulous start.
I would like fitness to become a lifestyle of activity not a oh hear we go let me lose this weight for this event again I'm glad to be here and hope it will be the start of something great.0 -

Hi Everyone.. I made it halfway through the last challenge and fell off. I am up in weight since then as well.. about 15lbs. I know that is a lot in a short period of time.. but my eating was very chaotic and I did very little moving. I just want to be healthy and happy. I know that won't happen overnight, but I keep coming back to this point and I will continue to do so until I get it right. So instead of 50lbs to lose I now have 80. I look forward to feeling better. Good Luck and Happy New Year to everyone!1

Hello all! 50 yo mother of two. Over the past 2 years with the help of MFP I have lost and maintained a 30+ pound weight loss, I was 3lbs to goal weight when a total hysterectomy and the holidays happened. My clothes are so uncomfortable but I am not quite ready to jump on the scale to see how much I gained. Friday will be my official weigh in day. My goal will be to lose 5 pounds a month until goal weight of 120 and then to maintain. I will accomplish this by limiting my drinking to weekend only and clearing out all junk food that my family members eat. I will return to clean eating; fruits, veggies, legumes, poultry, fish, lean pork & beef only. I will weigh, measure and log everything. This is my first challenge and I am looking forward to having support especially since I work and live in an environment that is challenging. Good luck everyone let's make 2017 the best!1

Hello, my name is Kaylan and I will be 27 on Jan 6. I am coming from the previous challenge. I had an amazing experience with the last one. Even though I did not reach my goal of 163lb, I had foot surgery and recovery during a good portion of the challenge, I made it to 169lb. I am better now, doc said not physical therapy. I'm ready to drop the weight, eat healthy, and live a better me this year!!0

Hi everyone! I'm Emily, 22 years old and have always been overweight. The most I've lost with MFP was 15lbs about five years ago and have been steadily gaining since. I'm attempting a healthier lifestyle in general through tracking slowly this time (I always try to lose fast and fail, obviously) and quitting smoking at the same time so I can take up exercising and be able to breathe doing it.
I'm at 270lbs now hoping to be under 200lbs at some point. I'm hoping for a 70lbs loss over this year but I'm not sure how realistic that is going to be. Anyhow, lots of hard work ahead but 3 days smoke free and hoping if I can keep this up the exercise will follow! Just need to start breathing clearer again.
Feel free to add me
