JAN 4 - Your mom has been a lucky lady. She's had a wonderful life, 4 loving children and much to be grateful for. Yet, it's so hard to say goodbye. You and your family continue to be in my prayers.
Yes X 3. Early morning, 34 degrees, 2 mile walk plus walked another mile mid-day to give blood.

I'm headed to bed now but will pray for you and your mom before I fall asleep.
I also live in a small Missouri town with only 2 restaurants. It does have drawbacks but the benefits are huge. Today, however, I am in Texas visiting with my dad who is in a nursing home paralyzed from the neck down. Although he can't talk or hear or see well he his in good spirits. We would appreciate prayers also. Thanks and goodnight!

Love You Forever is such a wonderful book. I read it again last year for the first time since I was a little girl. What strikes me now, as an adult, is the end where the grown son rocks his mother and says "I'll love you forever. I'll like you for always. As long as I am living, my mommy you'll be." My parents are my favorite people in the world and mean so much to me. I feel for you, Rick.
Pass Day #1 - I was sick to my stomach, so I took the day off to reset.2 -
Hang in there, Rick. I love knowing there are still places like that where everyone knows everyone. Too often I feel we are too disconnected from each other. And yet I'm grateful that we have a place like this here on MFP where people from far and wide can come together as community and support each other. What a beautiful thing, really.
That poem brought tears to me eye, @am_change . I will hang on to it.3 -
