Net Carbs?

Hello! I am brand new to not only the Ketogenic diet, but also to low carb in general. Today is my second day and I am finding it difficult to meat the low carb goal. I am calculating net carbs for each food that has fiber. Can I calculate the total daily net carbs to track and will this truly meet my goal? Any advice will be much appreciated!

I think everyone does it a little differently. There is no right or wrong way to do it as long as you are consistent in what you do. I have myself set to 25 carbs but go by net carbs not total carbs.1

There is an addin you can get for Chrome which automatically calculates your Net Carbs on the Food Page + gives you a graph of your macro nutrients which is pretty cool
Instructions to set it up are here

To give you an idea, here is a screenshot of my diary with it in it.
The pie charts at the bottom show your macros both by total grams and total calories - the one on the left is the one you use for your macro nutrient calculation, I target 5% net carb, 29% protein, 66% fat
Got my macros pretty much bang.2
