Horrible Breath

Ok, I know that having a bad taste in your mouth and horrible breath is a good sign BUT it is depressing.
My daughter told me I have sweetened milk smell when I spoke to her today.
I know its not the end of the world but I dont feel confident talking up close to anyone or even kissing my husband .. mouth wash and mints only last so long.
What do others do?

I keep a little bottle of peppermint or cinnamon oil in my glove box, just in case it strikes when I'm out. (Rub on your teeth. )2

Dairy gives me bad breath. Onions and garlic too. Otherwise I never had a problem with it.
Oh, dehydration too.
Some people find higher protein diets cause bad breath. Some find keto levels of low carb causes it too, in which case some of it resolves and some doesn't. You may just have to experiment.3 -
I make sure I save room in my carb allowance for sugar free Extra gum through out the day.1

I'll second the peppermint oil (nice smell too, also the mint smell makes you feel more alert). Always carry around some mints/gum for dreaded keto breath...your own sense of smell will be dull to it but not others. I frequently do throw around pocket sprays/films of listerine too just in case0

Interesting.....Not sure their calculator is entirely correct though as I wasn't eating near the grams of protein they are stating my goal should be and my dragon breath was horrible!
It still may have been too much for my body though. It's possible I may be overestimating my percentage of body fat.....0 -
This began about a month into LC and lasted several weeks, with no recurrence. Fortunately I was forewarned and armed with those little Listerine Pocket-Packs that fit into any pocket or purse. Even more fortunately, you can buy them in bulk at Sam's Club, cuz I needed them aplenty. Even I couldn't stand myself.0
