Yesterday was exactly one month of keto for me. I'd like to share my progress with you all because this group has really helped me through the past month. I have been reading the discussions on here daily and it has really helped keep me on track.
I'm a nurse and mom with a very busy work schedule. Finding time to count calories and exercise is a challenge somedays. I eat on the run a lot. I wanted to see if I could successfully change my eating habits before anything else so I started keto. I didn't count/measure/log anything. I just avoided carbs and ate when I was hungry. I got the "keto flu" for about 3 days. I survived and kept on. I have watched the scaled go up and down, some days I got frustrated with a 2lb gain but I learned if I just wait it out, the scale will go back down again.
One month out I am down 15.9lbs from my starting weight. My scrubs are fitting "better" and I actually was able to buy a size large top the other day instead of extra large.
Those changes are great but my favorite change from all of this is my mental clarity and energy. I am sleeping better than I have in years. I wake up without having to drag myself out of bed. My energy literally lasts all day now. I am less forgetful and less "spacey". These changes in turn have made my overall mood better as well.
So that's my story for now. I haven't exercised yet, except one try at Zumba which did nothing but frustrate me. (I have zero rhythm) so my goal for the second month of keto is to start with some form of exercise and start logging my food.
Thank you!

Way to go!! I'm glad to see such positive results in someone! I've seen good results for myself in my three Keto weeks, but it is so reassuring to see someone with great results too! Further proof and motivation!
Here is my results thus far:
Week one: Down 7 Pounds, down 1 inch
Week two: up 2 pounds, down 1 inch
Week three Down 3 pounds, down 1 inch
Total: down 8 pounds, 3 inches in three weeks!3
