My scale is digital and only goes by whole pounds. Today it could not decide between 342 and 341, so I logged the higher of the two. Here's to a win next week! Not that losing a pound isn't a win of course1 -

Mile-per-day running streak is at 67 days, and I ran my first sub-12:00 mile ever today! Also, my first race of the year, the Baltimore Shamrock 5K, is this Sunday. It's supposed to snow, so slippery miles and beer are on tap for this weekend!

Not what any of us want to see, of course. But not a surprise. I had a really tough week, I never got round to menu planning last week and I know I made poor decisions on too many occasions - and didn't log every day.
Fail to plan = plan to fail.
Already back on track. Have planned every mouthful for this week, bought all my groceries, and prepped what I can. Time to beat this!1 -

It's so annoying. I've been working my but off the last two weeks and I'm only down 3 lbs from my original start weight. I'm not giving up though. Hubby helped me yesterday with meal planning my food for the week.1 -

- Mile-per-day running streak is at 74 days, with 141 miles/227 km logged for the year.
- Set a personal best in Sunday's Baltimore Shamrock 5K with a chip time of 37:11.8, which works out to a 12:00 min/mile pace.
- Ran 3.14 miles for Pi Day (good), then ate apple pie a la mode for Pi Day (not-so-good)
- Finally got back under the bar this week! So weak...3 -

Glad I'm not the only one trying to limit the effects of pregnancy but remain healthy through the experience too. My weight has ballooned recently so just trying to stay under my end weight with my first daughter. Fingers crossed!3

This is the biggest weekly loss I've ever had in my life.
This is the lowest I've been since hitting my max weight in Feb 2016.
These next 2 weeks will also be a landmark. 26-28lb is the most I've ever lost on any attempt I've ever made, and then my weightloss always grinds to a halt. I may keep "trying" for a while but eventually I've always given up and the weight has crept back on - and more.

- Mile-per-day running streak is at 81 days, with 159 miles/256 km logged for the year.
- Hit my first intermediate weight loss goal of 315 lb, representing 40 lb lost since the beginning of the year. Next intermediate goal is 294, at which point my BMI will be below 40 (morbidly obese) for the first time since like early 2010.
- Didn't do as much lifting this week as I would have liked. I need to find my rhythm again.3 -

It appears I will miss two weeks of weigh in. Last week we were on vacation and now the scale is packed away as we are moving this Friday! Once we are settled, I've decided to try eating paleo. Can't wait. See y'all in April!1

I was late weighing in this week due to houseguests. And then I didn't want to admit it. I've been completely off the wagon the last couple of days but I got back to the gym last night, set a new best distance on the treadmill, and am going to start eating right again as of today.
As usual, a lack of planning was my undoing. I do NOT make good decisions on the fly!1 -

- Mile-per-day running streak is at 88 days, with 179 miles/289 km logged for the year. I have a goal of reaching 300 km for the year by the end of March, which means roughly another 7 miles/11 km in the next 2 days. Wish me luck!
- CICO was pretty good this week, although I got tripped up a bit over the weekend when I grossly underestimated the kcals in the wings that I had for Sunday dinner vs. what I had available. Semper vigilans!
- More lifting this past week, but I still need to find a rhythm that complements my running schedule. April goals...0 -

I was tempted to skip today's post, but I know I'm not the only one who experiences temporary gains, so thank you to every one of you who posts a gain without shame. We are living our lives, and weight loss (& overall health!) is most definitely not linear. Great job everyone!2 -
Thanks Brooke and Mike for the encouragement. With how stressed I am about work and other things at the moment, I've been getting tempted to throw in the towel. Spending time on MFP helps me to keep trying, even if it's with mixed success. It may be small, but I'm showing a loss for the month. Slow progress is still progress and I mustn't lose sight of that or let it slip back too far.2

I've been battling shame this week and the urge to give up - but had a great surprise this morning with a sudden drop!
I'm VERY happy with 6lb lost this month
Could it have been more? Of course!
Has it been a bumpy road and a struggle at times? Definitely!
But is it a good amount to lose and a hell of an achievement for me? YES!2 -

This follows my pattern of small bump up, big bump down that happens throughout the weeks, which is why I generally don't worry about the bumps up. If I weighed every day (or counted it every day), my chart would look like a heart rate monitor on a downward curvy slant.
I have a (weight loss) doctor's appointment on Tuesday, which hopefully brings more good news regarding body fat %, BMI, muscle mass, blood pressure, etc. It's amazing how the numbers can correlate.
Kick butt month everyone! Way to overcome hurdles, set and meet new goals, and keep plugging. Y'all are amazing!1 -
