For those who say they are hating their nursing experience so far... maybe hearing from some of us who are having fulfilling careers in nursing will help inspire to seek out positions that will be more satisfying. I can't imagine feeling trapped in a job I don't enjoy, let alone hate. So.. folks... tell us about your nursing career so far!

I have a dream job. I've been nursing for 21 years. I live in Canada. Prince Edward Island to be precise. I work in Northern Manitoba. My position is with Health Canada/ First Nations and Inuit Health. I have an amazing rotation where I work for 2 weeks then am home for 3 weeks. When I'm at work it is intense, hard core nursing to the max. Loads of overtime and not a lot of sleep. But that's fine because then I go home and enjoy 3 weeks of life on the Island. Anyone else have an interesting unique nursing position?... also... I'm a diploma nurse, but now registered in my FINAL course for my BN... graduation in May... finally!!0

Well that's 2 of us who love our jobs! lol... How goes the battle? I'm 10 days in and I haven't weighed myself. I find the number on the scale a bit discouraging. I have been under my calorie allowance every day except one so far and have exercised every day except one. I have a treadmill and also use Nike Training + Club app. I have about 50 pounds to lose. I'm feeling optimistic.0
