Going out to dinner - celebration

Got a phone call yesterday to offer me a job I had applied for. It's a role I feel very passionate about (working in disability), and it's a mobile office based role, so some time working at home, and some time going out to families. Much better than my 9 to 5 in the city - no more bus and I'll be able to wear trackies to work sometimes :P I'm in the process of setting up the spare room as a home office (separate from my gaming PC in the loungeroom) so that I can be "at work" when I'm at home. Plus the new job comes with $10k a year more salary and a car. I've come a long way from cleaning houses 7 years ago after my divorce, and I'm proud of it
Anyway, we're going to Grill'd tonight for dinner. It's a real nice burger place, and they do a super low carb bun. Almond flour flat bread I think. 17g of carbs all up for the burger, plus I can not go there without having a bucket of zucchini fries. Another 28g of carbs (quinoa in the coating). About 900 calories all up for the meal. I'll be over by about 200 calories for the day, but it doesn't feel like a cheat - I average 1000 net calories a day most days (I don't eat my tracker calories back).
50g of carbs for a day seems high to me, but in perspective it's still low enough not to do any harm. So I'm going to enjoy it.

Sounds like a great restaurant! Is it a chain... never heard of it before (but I'm in Canada so restaurant chains don't always cross the border)?1

Sounds completely reasonable to me!

Australian chain https://www.grilld.com.au/
Far superior to normal burgers, something about the relish/flavours they use. And cheaper than MacDonalds Create Your Own burgers (which are not bad, you can get anything you like in a lettuce leaf, but it's still MacDonalds).0 -
