I was diagnosed T2D twenty five years ago at age 44. I was overweight, sedentary and tried to lose weight sporadically but never stayed with a diet after losing some pounds.
Four years ago I joined WW and began to eat healthy and exercise. At 376# floor aerobics were too hard on my knees and ankles so I switched to aqua aerobics. Last year I added swimming laps before class. I now swim 1/2 mile in laps. Also track my steps on Fitbit and try to reach 10K most days.
I have lost 155# (376 to 221) and will keep going to get below 200#, then set a goal weight.
