High fat

Can someone explain to me why it's ok to eat a lot of fat, especially saturated fat? I know that as my family hears what I'm eating, they're gonna have a LOT of opinions. I want to have a good, but easy to understand answer.
Thanks!

You don't really have to eat specifically fat. You just eat foods that are naturally high in fat.
It's totally ok to cook with butter and bacon fat and lard and all that. Eating cheese and meat and eggs...
You're just eating real food. Nothing to be afraid of. Why people ever believed eating man-made chemical riddled food like products was ever somehow better than simple real food is mind blowing. Even having been one of those people at one time. How could I have ever thought that?!?!
Anyway, here are some resources.
