If you use your Charge HR for general workouts (weightlifting, HIIT, etc.) how do you get record the calories burned doing those activities so they show up on MFP? If I say 'weights' on the FB the data doesn't show up. Running will, but I wear my Garmin running watch for that, which is hooked up to Training Peaks and transfers from there.

I have the Charge HR2, but when I had the Charge - you'd just record the session and then go on the website and assign what it was to it (i.e. strength training). Then the calories will transfer over.

If you mean just having it show up as a separate entry on your MFP feed, then it won't show up ever. But as long as the calories are transferring over, you still have that data on your fitbit so shouldn't really be a concern.

You could just manually post on your wall you did a workout or do a 1 min 1 calorie burn entry of whatever you did. (i.e. logging Strength Training at 1min/1cal burned that those who follow TDEE method do)

I'm guessing that because I'm using my phone I can't add friends to my Fitbit. Is it only online that you can add a user that is not in some way linked to you?

If you log in to Fitbit online and go to your profile you will see it above your picture in the section that says public url. Hope it helps.
