Low carb gadget: Microwave omelet maker

I bought one of these recently and am an enthusiastic fan. Easy to clean. I start my day with a 4 egg omelet, and this omelet maker makes it easy to add fillings.
This morning I had a small chopped green onion from my garden, a chopped raw mushroom, and a slice of cheese tucked in the omelet.
I bought it as part of a set, there is an egg poacher, a microwave bacon maker, and a stand for making 4 baked potatoes that I plan to turn into a bacon wrapped meatball cooker.
I like the bacon maker so that I can just cook two or three slices of bacon at a time. I've cooked entire packages of bacon on the stovetop, but when I go to use saved bacon the next day it just isn't as good as fresh cooked.
Definitely a nice gadget, the whole set including shipping was only around $15 on Ebay.

Nice! I'll have to see if such a thing is in my area. Not exactly a gadget but we found some really nice skillets at Big Lots recently. They're ceramic rather than Teflon and work much better at no-stick.0

I've been told that turning a George Foreman or similar grill upside down also allows for similar cookings...and makes a great grill type device so you don't have to use a microwave.0

You have saved bacon the next day? I'm impressed!5

I too am unfamiliar with this concept. After all, bacon is sold in single serve packages. Are you cooking more than one package at a time?2 -

Actually, my problem with saved bacon is my daughter - if I don't hold her back, she will eat the bacon as soon as I remove it from the pan! I have had to fend her off to get 2-3 slices from a pound of bacon!1 -

Sounds like my house.1 -
I used the microwave bacon cooker for the first time, setting a paper towel under and over, and made half the package of bacon. It turned out very well and was so easy to clean up.
I am doing intermittent fasting, and on my 'feeding' days I am aiming for at or a bit above maintenance feeding (which means bacon).0 -

I usually eat most of the bacon before it leaves the kitchen....1 -
I have difficulty getting my bacon from the oven pan to my plate.... somehow it seems to disappear en route.2
-
I will gladly sit in the oven, WITH the bacon.... ok, ok... maybe that's going a little TOO far....!0
-
I have an electric egg cooker, and as much as I hate unitaskers in general, this thing is awesome. Hard boiled eggs peel about as easy as looking at them!1
-
I steam my eggs; the flavour difference is subtle, but distinct.... and yes, peeling them, even fresh ones, is a doddle....0

I am starting to harvest fresh tomatoes from my garden. I make 4 egg omelets with the microwave omelet maker stuffed with chopped ripe tomato, fresh chopped green onion, and melted American cheese.0
