I've been off LCHF for 2 months, maybe 2.5...I recall February being an awesome month and I completed my challenge along with much of the rest of this board. Then I went way backward for a long time. I won't focus on why, doesn't matter.
I will share how I felt in these last two months, to maybe help others avoid it:
1) depressed, with some terrible ups and downs,
2) hungry all the time, with massive sugar cravings,
3) bloated,
4) pain in knees and feet returned with a vengeance,
5) out of control.
LCHF has been hugely beneficial for me and I argued myself into believing a "break" would be a good thing. After losing 45 pounds, I've now gained 15 back. Yak.
The good news, I'm back in. 2 days at the gym, 3 days LCHF and already feeling better about the world. #littlebylittle

I've done that twice. I succeeded in my "diet" and lost weight and went back to "normal" eating. The important thing is you are back to doing what makes you feel best!
I had a trainer years ago that said day 3 is always the hardest. Whatever the third day is of whatever new thing you're doing if you make it past day 3 the road ahead is much clearer so congratulations on getting through your day 3!1 -
I feel ya!! I've been trying to find my balance forever now. No one's perfect, welcome back.0

I'm not gonna lie. I love being off diet. I never feel more tired but maybe that's the pain talking from my bad shoulder. The only difference on and off diet is 1. Losing weight 2. Craving m&ms nonstop (goes away after I'm on diet a while), and my diabetes being out of control high.0

Welcome back! Congrats on the great progress you made losing weight. I'm a slow learner I've been where you are, several times, each time I learned something about myself and how I need to live. I have to look at this as a life style change and not a diet or a challenge that will have an ending. Yes I will at some point reach my weightloss goals, but it's not a stopping point. I will need to continue with the changes that made me healthy and thin. I'm not sure what maintanence looks like yet, but I do know it won't include grains, except on the rarest of occasions. I have learned over time that grains for me are a slippery slope back to all my bad habits and health, aches, pains and weigh gain.
Keep at it, use your set back as a positive learning experience.

Welcome back! I've been there many times myself. Including multiple times of gaining all my weight back. I hope never to go back there again and that's why I'm still here. Been almost 2 years here at MFP and although there has been struggles, I don't ever want to totally go off-plan and gain all the weight back.0
