Stretch marks. Indicator of weightloss?

Hi guys. I've been on Keto for 2 weeks. My scale says I'm losing weight but this morning I noticed fresh stretchmarks on my stomach. I was so discouraged. Does this mean I'm gaining weight?

I think you probably just never noticed them before.
Or your skin is more loose and making it more apparent since you have lost weight.1 -
You're probably right about me not noticing them before. I have heard that the scale is not always accurate so that is why I was alarmed.0

My belly as far as skin and stretch marks, texture and all that is NOT as nice looking as when it was full of fat. (More full of fat. Still have plenty to be evicted).
Unfortunately, I feel like you get the benefit of being smaller but it doesn't always come with every improvement in appearance we would like.
I'll never wear a 2 piece bathing suit. Not without a tummy tuck or a major change in my comfort level with the saggy skin left behind.
We can go from obsessing about the fat to obsessing about the squishy left behind... just something to be mindful of along the journey.3 -

Me neither, but we can still rock the hell out of that one-piece. I look pretty smokin' in mine.
No I can't wear a bikini or daisy dukes, but I wouldn't give back what I have gained from weight loss for anything.
I'd really love my pushin'-40-lost-weight-turkey-waddle to disappear though. UGH.2 -

That's a lot of ripples - more than most 6-packs!2 -

I still wear a bikini...I have plenty of stretch marks, plenty of wrinkles and sags, I just don't care...I'm more comfortable in a bikini (long torso, one pieces never fit right) so that's what I wear...and if I end up on a beach version of people-of-walmart then so be it!!!4

OMFG! That long-torso *kitten*. I had to pay extra for my suit because of my freakishly long ab... BAH!
It's cute though. Next time I'm getting a 2 piece that still covers everything but doesn't give me an atomic wedgie!Pix or it didn't happen....
You might not have noticed, but I don't do cameras...they steal your soul. Loki already thinks he owns mine. I don't want to risk Immortal-litigation. That would be an eternal nightmare.2 -
I used to worry & fret about the loose skin I'll have when I reach goal weight but then I saw a bunch of after picture of folks on MFP looking so amazing, loose skin & all, and I changed my mind. I'm going to be as proud of that mark of my achievement as I have been dismayed at my muffin top all these years. Heck yeah I'll have a deflated belly, I'll have worked super hard for that. I'm done feeling bad about my body. It is what it is!7

That's the kind of thinking I need to cultivate! Little by little, I may just get there.0
