    This past week has put me to the test. Hubby had a cardiac event and then open heart surgery. He is doing well and we feel blessed and very thankful. I am an emotional eater, and while tempted to pick up fast food to and fro hospital, was able to refrain. No wt loss but no gain either.

    Sorry to hear you're having a bit of a rubbish time, glad he's doing better. Well done for keeping your emotional eating under control, that certainly is a big test!

    What a great idea for a weigh-in group! I've been waffling over the last 2-3 pounds for 2-ish months...I'm hoping this will keep me accountable for those last few pounds!

    Good luck with the last few and well done on your loss so far. Have you any fitness or health goals for when you hit your target or are you just going to focus on maintaining?

    @tinkerbellang83 Thanks!

    I've made some fitness goals for the year that I'll probably switch my focus to...run 1000 miles (I'm at 438 as of yesterday), run 4 half-marathons (I've run 2 so far), break 2:00 in a half, and pass the stupid fit test (which really means relearning to do like 14 real pushups). All of which go hand in hand with maintaining my weight and eating better. If I maintain for a few months and find it "easy" I may drop a few more, but I don't want to drop to a weight that will kill me to maintain!

    Probably just normal water fluctuations, you're still 2 down on the end of last month :smile:

    I started in January and I've lost ten pounds but I'm at a plateau. Doesn't help I've been sick and not working out. Starting again this weekend

    Hi everyone!! I've only been at it about a month. I lost about 50lbs a couple years ago and have slowly put 20 back on, which is so frustrating but glad I didn't gain it ALL back. Hitting it hard again! I love this weekly weigh-in idea, so joining in!

    thank you!! so happy to have a place to weigh in with. I've been stuck for at least 1.5 months. I had to stop working out with my trainer (too expensive) and I also had a cold and have been sick. So i've been at a same weight since early april. I am trying to figure out if I should keep just counting calories or switch to a lo-carb type of plan.

    Check out the flowchart on the MFP Tips board here, there might be something on there that helps. If you've been sick it might be worth sticking to the calorie count a bit longer, your body has probably been hanging on to some water weight.
