Just wanted to share with you all. I am not endorsing the site, know nothing about them other than someone on the facebook group posted the link & the price for the box of 50, even with $15 shipping (for canada anyway) is decent.

I hate them as a company, but Wally-World sells them for $6.84.

I'm in Canada, the cheapest I've found is at costco for $22 per 10 pk

I believe she is talking about the blood ketone strips for the Precision Xtra blood glucose meter.

$1.60 a test is the cheapest I've ever seen. If shipping is that high, I would be tempted to buy the 50 pack. I don't have the meter. They're free though.

I admit, this is tempting to me. I'm just not ready to commit this amount of money.

Thanks, I might try this one for my next batch. Ketone urine strips are pretty much useless, I can eat a cup cake and test positive on those urine strips.

Go there for the free meter. My guess is they don't mind giving away the meter for free, because they'll recoup the cost of the free meters in the test strips. The one you want, if you go there, is the one on the far right (Precision xtra).

Even if you wanted to buy the meter, it's only $18 at Wal-Mart. The money is in the strips. It's like razors. They can give away the handles for free or at a loss, because they'll profit when you buy the blades.

I'm in the USA; I've found it's easiest to just buy the darn things at Amazon. There's always a vendor who has 'em at a good price.

I DO use keto urine strips as well - Walmart is the place to go for those. No, it's not as accurate, but it's a good indicator and, well, I hate bleeding for any reason. (Well, I don't mind getting scraped up when I go hiking in an area with really steep bluffs I have to climb, but that's different.)

Thanks for the lead on blood ketone strips. I ordered 100 from http://www.ketosistools.com/ , and they arrived in 10 days. With shipping it came to $164. The cheapest I have found them in a Canadian Pharmacy is a about $25/per box of 10.

The Canadian pharmacies sell them cheaper than what Amazon.com does. I buy mine from Canada these days. The shipping takes a while. About a week to two weeks longer than if you ordered from amazon.

Someone from another forum sent me this link

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Abbott-Freestyle-Optium-Ketone-Test-Strips-10-x10-100-Tests-/221408471176

they said that they are the same strip, in a different package, marketed for another abbott meter, and that they work fine with the precision extra, which is what i have. Shipping is high, and they come from aus, I just ordered some the other day. I can post back if you like when i get them and let you know if they work with my precision extra meter.

Mine came from Australia as well. They ditched the boxes and sent them in a Aus Post envelope. Looks like these ebay guys are even cheaper, might be the same seller.

I am in Canada, but still saved a bunch over the local pharmacy.

    http://www.ketosistools.com/products/starter-pack-optium-blood-meter-strips-50-strips-100-new-and-authentic

with shipping its 139.90 USD ... is that a good deal? Did any Canadians had to pay for duty when it was received to your door?

https://www.diabetesexpress.ca found $20 for 10 strips and their monitor is free if you purchase 100 glucose strips. Apparently having a one to one ratio in glucose to ketone levels is ideal so might as well spend money on a meter that does both.

And shipping from Canada, I don't have to wait too long.

I know this is old but I'm, just getting started with Keto again & am blood ketone strip shopping today. The same place I bought from years ago still has the best price on Precision Xtra strips (from the USA) that I can find ($1.82/strip on sets of 100 right now w/ free 2-3 day shipping): http://www.stores.ebay.com/Anneecakes-Ketone-Strips . They give you a bonus if you buy 2 of their sets of 10, so I usually do that OR buy a set of 30. I also own a Nova Max meter and I sometimes use those strips later on when I'm fully adapted, although I prefer the Precision.

Oops-the correct link is http://stores.ebay.com/Anneecakes-Ketone-Strips . I just bought 9 sets of 10 strips and (with the bonus) they came out to about $1.95/strip w/ free ship. (These strips also work perfectly in my husband's Relion Ultima meter.)
