They do look good. Maybe someone can test it out and let us know?0

I was looking at that recipe myself yesterday. I haven't ever made avocado brownies. I have made avocado chocolate pudding, and it's tasty. I have some avos that need used.0

I'm so resistant to "artificial" sweeteners. Many have had bad press (I'm not saying they ALL have!) but I think it's because of that 'bad press' that I find it hard to convince myself it's ok to use them. I have totally refrained from making any cakes, muffins, cookies, or desserts that have listed any sweetener as a sub for sugar.
The other problem is, my dear H has a definite sweet tooth. To his eternal credit, he has resisted temptation admirably, bless him, and it has been no small sacrifice for him to do so. He absolutely LOVES his 'puddings', in whichever form they might come.
So to "tickle his palate" with something sweet - albeit containing a sugar-sub - would be dangling a carrot in front of him, and open him to the temptation to keep feeding is sweet-tooth addiction....0 -
Following. I'd like to try them but I'd rather someone else first. Lol.
I did try the black bean brownies. They were DISGUSTING. Threw them out and I never throw out food.0 -

I LOVE the black bean brownies!1 -
I liked black bean brownies, they just had a different texture, a little more crumbly, and my bf didn't like that. I've thought about trying avocado pudding, but never can bring myself to do it; if it doesn't taste good, then I just wasted delicious avocados!1

They look delicious. I like avocado and chocolate together and have made and liked an avocado-based pudding. I just committed to stay in calories for the next week, at least, and they would not help, though.
I haven't tried any substitute low carb desserts yet, and I'm going to hold off for a while, although I'm sure I'll experiment.0 -
Anyone have a link to the chocolate pudding avocado recipe they liked? I could find one, but (re: Russian roulette) is rather one that's recommended?0

I have no link.
1 avocado
1tbsp nut butter
1 capful vanilla extract
3 or 4 tbsp baking cocoa
sweetener to taste
Mash the dickens out of it. If you want it less thick, add a few tbsp of almond milk or cream or sour cream. I don't bother as I like it thick.
Eat the whole thing.2 -
The one I did was pre low carb, so included honey, as well as vanilla, cocoa powder, coconut milk (the light kind in the can, not a carton), and avocado, plus a bit of salt. (I thought it was epicurious, but can't find it there.) baconslave's looks great, I like the nut butter addition.1

Tried the Ruled Me Chocolate Mug Cake tonight. Not a fan. I feel like I'm eating coffee grounds... Shame. I had high hopes.1

I just looked at the recipe and it looks promising. Next time I bake, I'll try it (if I can get some super soft acacados). I am a little concerned that it will be super dense but maybe that's good considering it's a brownie.
For those worried about sweeteners, Swerve is amazing! The can't stand bitter sweeteners! But Swerve tastes and measures(1:1 ratio) like sugar!0 -
Since nice avocados are close to $3 each here, I don't think I'll be wasting them on a dessert very often, lol. I did make a dark chocolate avocado pudding once that I took to a friend's house (she made dinner for the four of us and I brought dessert). Everyone thought it was pretty good.1

I think most of the cost is in shipping, but they also charge that extra - so goodness knows why it's so dear!

I have just done some internet searching. I may well be wrong, but it appears to me that "Swerve" is marketed in the UK under the name 'Sukrin'. Wow. Thank you "Google"!!
So Imma gonna try dat one....2 -

If I can manage it today, I'll try cooking these. If my kids take good naps today!0
