Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

Just for interest sake, it would be interesting for group members to post what their goals for May was and how they went.

    Mine was to:
    - Maintain UAC tracking (Irrespective of "pass" days).
    - Monitor weight (Target was -0.5kg (1 lbs) per week averaged over the month).
    - Continue past any falterings (If I messed up yesterday, leave it behind and focus on the day at hand. Forgive the mistakes and move forward)
    - Where possible try stay positive (Too many things in this life can drag you down).

Will post how I went on all of these with my daily check-in later.

Do not exceed 2,000 calorie per day, maintenance (I exceeded 2 days). I did maintain.
    Track everyday. I did that
Exercise every day. I did that.

Looks like @RangerRickL is also part of the winner's circle even if he is too modest to add himself.

    My goals for May were:
    1. To lose 2kg - lost 2.4kg this month
    2. To run over 6km - I managed a couple of runs that were just under 7.5km
    3. To add some strength training to my cardio - I have sort of done this but not entirely happy, need to find something more specific.
    4. To make the winner's circle :)

Today was another good day. Cycled to work and home again in pretty good times. Did a 10 minute rowing machine warm up and one strength circuit (should be 2 but I left it a bit late this evening and thought 1 is better than nothing).
Tracking was good and calories under. I have reduced my calorie budget by 100 today as I've decided to go for a big push in June to try and get within 1kg of goal. As of this morning I have 2.9kg to lose.

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5km+ in 47 minutes (20+ mins when train delayed another 20+ mins between offices in the city).
    Calories?: Yes.
    Tracked?: Yes.

(apologies in advance for the long post to follow)

Now that all my calories for the day consumed, can report on goal progress for the month.

    - Maintain UAC tracking (Irrespective of "pass" days).

    No pass days.
Tracked every day. iPhone, iPad and Computer make this easy.
Every day below calorie target. Even when I recalculated target mid month.
    Walked 20+ mins each day.

I also do bodyweight strength work every day (about 25 mins worth). A routine that is completely portable with the only equipment a towel. This means I can continue to do this even if I travel. I track the bodyweight strength work in my tracking. I have not been adding it to my UAC exercise target as I have achieved the minimum walking each day.

    - Monitor weight (Target was -0.5kg (1 lbs) per week averaged over the month).

Overachieved in this department. Lost 4.3kg (9 lbs) from May 1 to May 31. This rate of reduction may not continue next month, but I can always hope.

I have at least 8kg (16 lbs) to reach goal, so not going to get there next month. Before Christmas would be nice though.

I hope to do at least 2.6kg next month. That would put me to where I was 11 years ago. But not going to be disappointed if I do not get there as long as I remain on track and healthy.

I weight daily so I can see fluctuations, but weekly progress is what I take note of.

    - Continue past any falterings (If I messed up yesterday, leave it behind and focus on the day at hand. Forgive the mistakes and move forward)

Think I achieved this. Some days too far under, but not since recalculated target. Still managed to keep focus on the days ahead.

    - Where possible try stay positive (Too many things in this life can drag you down).

Think I achieved this. Exercise definitely helped keep a good frame of mind.

Really though I would miss a day or two this month. Especially when my daily target was calculated to 6611kj (1580 kcal) mid month. I don't recall eating into exercise calories once.

I have recalculated daily based on current weight for next month (6443kj (1540 kcal)). I will recalculate each month dependent on progress. This way I stay on track.

Hope others managed to reach their goals for this month.

My goal for May was to build up a constent calorie log as that's something I slacked on before this challenge, and I gotta say it went well and it helped me learn abit about my eating habbits and what I should change. (Which is mainly my sodium intake)

Also lost 8 pounds which is great.

I'll be joining in next month with the goal to lose 10 Pounds and to lower my sodium levels. joc5unt3rsgc.jpg

After posting earlier today, I remembered that another one of my goals was to lift weights three times per week. I went back through my logs and as long as I do it tonight, I will make my goal. So, now I have inspiration to lift tonight.

My goal for the month was to stay under 1200 calories (decreasing carbs/increasing protein), to continue to lose weight and be more active. Some days were harder than others, but other than a planned cheat day, I was able to meet my goals and lose about 15 pounds.

Thanks for helping to keep me motivated!! :)

Hi everyone :) Crazy day today for me. Had all my pre-op appointments and X-Ray, ECG and bloodwork done. Good news is I misunderstood what the surgeon was going to do to my back and I am not having a fusion. He thinks that he will just have to do a decompression of the discs and clean up the spine! I knew he was not going to have to put in any rods but I thought he still had to do some fusing(goes to show my lack of medical understanding :) ) My recovery should be much easier than I expected. Yes I will have some pain but I have that already :p Tonight I am totally exhausted and I am sure it has a lot to do with letting go of my fears and knowing now I can handle having both of us down for a while ;) I CAN DO THIS!

My goals for this month were to maintain a positive attitude(which I have) Lose 5 lbs(Lost 3.1 happy with that, even with our weeks holiday!) and to make the winners circle again(which I think I did :p ) Overall it was a GREAT month!

Awesome to read about others successes, looking forward to June.........see you all then!

exercise yes but barely 30 minutes stationary bike
    calories yes under
    tracking everything!
