Make the Better Choice (MTBC) - 06/06/2017

All of us are faced with those times when making the "best" choice is something that isn't going to happen. Sometimes that is by circumstance...sometimes by limited choice...or sometimes personal preference.

DOCKANZ, a GoaD stalwart for several years, coined the phrase "Make the Better Choice" (MTBC) several years ago, and it's become an anchor for several of us on GoaD over the years. Basically, if you can't make the BEST choice...make the BETTER choice. You can, at least, do that much.

So - how have you made the better choice today?

I am working in a testing lab for the next two weeks. I will have limited access to outside email and web surfing. If I have not posted this thread by 12pm EDT, it is unlikely I will be able to do so at that time. Anyone who feels inclined to do so, should go ahead and do it.

    Thanks. -Greg

I continue to log my food choices, even though it has been a very painful and educational experience. The amounts we convince ourselves it's all right to eat. Our portion size perception is a coarse measure at best.

Between the bachelorette party and my SO's birthday it was a rough calorie weekend. I tried to make reasonable choices but still went way over. But I did track to stay accountable and I planned all my meals for the week ahead

When I woke up this morning, I talked myself into walking only half my morning walk because I was a bit foot sore from doing some extra miles the last few days...

Half way through the walk though, my aches and pains cleared up, so I finished the whole walk instead.

Wanted ice cream this afternoon, but had committed with some WW friends to go sugar free this week. I had melon instead.
