New month, new season, new goals! Hope everyone had a good May and with Summer showing it's face I really miss winter. Any goals for any vacations? Don't forget to check in and weigh in throughout the month!

    (Wont let me edit)

Lost about 6 in May, not too shabby. Over half way to my goal of -50 on the year.

So now I am now starting working out this month, once the gym opens in my building this weekend. Want to push hard to get through the second half of my goal and also put some more muscle definition back on.

May was better than April for me but still not entirely back on track. I would like to get back to lifting weights but every time I try my bad shoulders act up. It may be time to see a doctor about physical therapy or surgery as much as I hate that option.

I've been having a tough week and ate too much crap last night so I'm doing a mid-month check in to keep me on track for the rest of the month.

Current Weight (as of last Sunday): 282.5
    Start June Weight: 286.2
Lost so far in June: 4.3

I realize that I may have joined this group at the wrong time, but I'm just getting started out again after putting it off for some months. Didn't see a current thread for introductions so I figured I'd just post in here and get the ball rolling. Hopefully having some additional accountability will help, since I'm the heaviest I've ever been.

Current (starting): 118.2 kg (260.6 lbs)
    Height: 188 cm (6'2")
    Goal: 90 kg (198.4 lbs)

Aiming at ca. 6 workouts a week (3x lifting, 3x running), and 1 kg/wk weight loss. Dropped alcohol last December, but seem to have replaced it with junk food.

May adjust my rate of loss up or down, depending on how it goes.

Never a wrong time to join up! We are here to help one another. That is a bummer to hear you picked up junk food to replace drinking but it can be looked at as an improvement. Food is easy to change it's just a lot of willpower. Lot of working out I see. I would suggest chicken to start off, oven bake it! Seriously was a strong addition to losing weight.

Annnnd I'm back. Sort of been MIA for a while. Drove down South to visit Family, worked a week at a summer camp, went to a friends wedding, and just got back from a conference. So my diet and everything has been pretty *kitten* over the last month. It is so difficult to eat healthy during long road trips. I just need to get better at packing car food.

Still need a battery for my scale but the last time I weighed in I was at: 165 lbs.
Now that my summer should be less busy I'll be able to get better meals and able to run more.

I'm going to Mexico on August 5th, do my goal is to drop from 221 to 210, I started about a week and a half ago, looking to lose about 1.5 pounds a week. I'm at about 217.5 right now, going well. Been very strict on the gym going 4 or 5 times a week hitting every muscle group and diet, keeping about 40%protein, 30%carbs, 30%fat, my fitness pal is nice because I can adjust to cardio exercises, eating between 2400 and 3000 calories a day based on weather I run or bike on that day. I've been eating very cleanly. Weekends I allow myself to drink. Feeling great, I enjoy being in control of myself in this way.

Rope pulls, and doing some rotator cuff exercises with 5 pound weights are a great way to help your shoulders. Obviously I don't know your specific issues but ever since if dislocated my left shoulder doing 100lb dumbbells over head pressing I do these before any shoulder or chest movement, I've had very few issues since then and it has been years of going pretty heavy. My girlfriend has had shoulder issues most her life and a few weeks I've had her doing those and she's now able to bench press Ext relatively pain free. I recommend YouTube to find these exercises.
