I was looking for some information in the message boards from my PC. The results actually had some discussions in the Low Carber Daily Forum. This is new, right?

Or is it that if one is a member of this private Low Carb Daily Forum, a discussion will show up in a search? That is a question since I don't know the answer but am curious also.0

If a Group is closed, there is no search function available that will side-step or over-ride that limitation.
There is a 'closed Group' sub-forum on another forum I frequent, and there's no access to it - unless you're already registered and approved to view it.
I'm only hazarding a guess, but I think it works the same way here, too.
I would venture to confirm that the reason you got information to view items or comments from this forum - is because you have access to it.....
Of course, not being Admin or a Mod, I only have this 'educated guess - or hypothesis, really - to help...

I see that it is coming up as well.
Had no idea as they don't tell us anything. Maybe RalfLott knows?
Perhaps we have ourselves a search workaround? I'll mess with it later and see.0 -

Hi. I don't know the particulars, but it's been possible for some time to get threads/posts in groups to which you belong among search results. However, you can't count on all the matches turning up. The function is still pretty primitive, alas.0

I originally found this group because the search function scanned it. In general, the search function sucks. It is so hard to find threads after a bit of time. But it is free....1
