I have suddenly stalled and gained two pounds this week despite doing nothing differently. I am 222 this week up from 220 last week. I have lost about 50lbs total. I always lose weight if I stick to my diet. it is simply a question of sticking to it. I have never stalled before. I eat 90grams of protein and 30-40 net carbs, but no more than 50 total carbs. No more than 1500 calories a day. I have kids so I move alot in the day (15k steps) plus I work out daily for an hour. I don't do artificial sweetners. No atkins bars. No alcohol and I drink a TON of water (I am breastfeeding). I am in ketosis and have not left it. What am I doing wrong? Typical day is coffee, cream, eggs and sausage for breakfast; Salad with avocado and chicken for lunch; meat and a cooked vegetable for dinner; 1oz of nuts for mid morning snack; 1 oz of cheese for midafternoon snack. I weigh everything so my portions are accurate. Should I up my calories or lower my carbs? Thanks!!!

You may need to readjust your calories and macros, that what i needed to do to break my stall BUT!!!!!!!!! I see you are breastfeeding and I dont encourage you to do anything other than ensure you are getting the proper nutrients for the baby. If that means you stall for a bit - so beit.

A 2 pound difference in such a short time is nothing more than water or gut contents. Not fat.
Don't worry. It's not real weight gain.
It happens to me on a daily basis. I'm up. I'm down. I'm up. I'm down.

Also, a shift in the scale weight in a single week doesn't qualify as a stall.

Just keep doing what you're doing.

I've gained 4 lbs this year, but I'm down several inches in my waist - take measurements, don't rely on just the scale, you could still be losing and just not seeing it on the scale due to a variety of factors.

    I have to agree with @Sunny_Bunny_ .
I think - as it's summer - it's water retention. I've had a shedload of it this week. I actually, definitely know without a single shadow of a doubt that I have been eating at calorie-deficit but I woke up after a hot night's sleep to find myself "over-weight" by around 4lbs or so. The horror!
I had a tummy like a water-filled balloon, and a distinctly uncomfortable 'bloated' feeling.

You haven't stalled and trust me, this is our helping you.

Telling you to not worry. ;)
