Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5km in 44 minutes (Hills - One tree hill).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Fastest time yet for the One tree hill walk, even though I stopped to help some tourists by taking a photo of their group with one of their phones. I wonder if I could get the 5km hills walk eventually under 40 mins (<8 mins/km). And yes, I saw more wallabies today .
First weigh under 80kg today. 2nd weight goal now hit. 2 more weight goals to go (10kg under start MFP weight, MFP target weight (14kg under MFP start & normal BMI)).
@Slimpossible007. I'll continue to dig deep (while keeping calm).
@RangerRickL. Well done for succeeding in a week of gluten free. Reminds me of a quote in a video @scubachick67 posted in a status last Friday. "Lot of people unsure of what gluten is. I'll tell you. Cause I know about this stuff now. Gluten is ... the good bit.".
(The video was "Seann Walsh Live at the Apollo" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5CxUFAAK4g))

Dropped my tablet while logging this evening and completely broke the screen so posting this using my daughter's old laptop which I have commandeered until I can get a replacement for my tablet (had to find a way to keep tracking)
Shortest day here today so looking forward to getting a little sunlight while biking, think it'll be about a month before there's any noticeable difference.
Biked to work today in spite of a few fog patches. Think it'll be my last chance this week as tomorrow afternoon looks to be very wet and Friday I am in Christchurch which is a bit far for my bike. Also went for a walk at lunchtime on another beautiful sunny winter's day.
Tracking good, with stand in laptop, and calories well under.6 -
As the weather is so unpredictable I did a mile just incase it's raining after work. I will have this mile and the elliptical. Though I am hoping the weather stays nice. At work they refer to me as the energizer bunny. How weird is that. I do not think of myself like that at all I think how many times how tired I am yes I still exercise on lunch and when Kristen asks for a buddy. I guess I just see so many others who have more energy than myself I find the reference kind of odd.
Today I am on the front line back in with the people. Last 2 days I was in drive thru I got a reprieve from being the bag deposit person as Carol came in sick. They sent her home so I took her spot in drive thru to keep things moving smoothly and Will took mine. Will is 18 yrs old he says I owe him a Kit Kat bar as I was really giving him the jab. He is just such an easy mark. LOL I will definitely get him the Kit Kat bar tomorrow but I will sign it from my evil twin.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I've been cooking for the last three days for youth conference for our church. We're feeding 400 people for 3 days.
Yesterday I did 60 lbs of pork and 100 lbs of chicken. Today I've got another 80 lbs of chicken and 12 batches of lime rice to cook.
Luckily, I've got a great friend to cook with and another great friend to exercise with in the morning so I've already got my workout done and can move onto the cooking marathon!
I think you are all doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work and thank you for motivating me!7 -
@aeshippers - there you go, "digging deep" to make it through the last ten days. Thanks for the motivational post @Slimpossible007! I have been thinking ahead about how to stay on track while flying and traveling the last week of the month at the family reunion . Yesterday, I located and called a grocery store near where our final flight lands. I asked them about what protein shakes they carry. Yes, I could take powder and mix my own, but thought this might be easier. Anyway, they do have muscle milk which isn't my fav, but is low carb. and high protein. Those will help keep me full so that I can handle all the catered buffets and group meals. Told my husband my plan and he is supportive, so I think I can do this.
Glad to hear that going gluten free has helped you feel better @RangerRickL. In thinking about it, I guess that I have been gluten free myself (with the exception of my birthday) for the past three months just because of eating low carb. The carbs I have been eating come from veggies, and some legumes.7 -
Happy summer solstice for us in the north and winter for you down south. It definitely feels like the longest day here. 34 degrees as our heatwave in the south of England continues (90 something in farenheit). Sweaty sweaty!
So I wrote a really long message on the kittens photo day and mfp ate it! It vanished! I was so frustrated it's taken me this long to get over it!
About 2 weeks ago a series of bad luck hit me. Some may get lost in uk/us/aus/nz translation but here goes...on the Sunday evening after a long day my husband accidentally put screen wash in the oil bit of our car. The car needed to go to garage for repairs. I use it to drive to work/daughter's childcare so I got a train and a taxi in the morning and was late so I booked a taxi to do all of the homeward journey. I had a text message to say the taxi had arrived but I couldn't see it. Called them to find out where it was and then saw it drive past so spun round on my heel to hail it down and my phone flew out of my hand and landed SMASH with a cracked screen. I use my phone for mfp so was awol until I had a botch cheap but it will do (I hope!) Repair on kittens photo log in day so I came back and told you I'd read ALL the messages I missed and happy birthdays and get well soons and trials and tribulations (and now wallabies too!) and also I asked for advice...
Since starting with a steady 1-2pound a week loss for about6 months I've now had a few months of losing and gaining the same pounds over. I am Jekyll and Hyde. In the morning and evenings I am in control, I have a plan and willpower and I can do this! In the middle of the day my internal voice changes and I hear "only one", "be good tomorrow", "one more won't matter" etc etc and it all goes out the window. Any advice?!3 -
@am_change are you close to your goal? I have noticed I seem to go off the path when I am within a lb or so of goal then I slide back and literally have to kick myself to get back. This last derailment has been rough. I am not having the speedy recovery . I know exactly the voice you are talking about. I seem to be an all or nothing mentality. Honestly I just don't understand why cookies have such loud voices and demand to be heard.2

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes....45 minute Cardio Drumming class.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes4 -
@amchange - I would suggest that you make sure that you are eating enough in the am. Fill up on protein and fiber and lots of water so that you are not hungry. Another thing would be to log your whole day in advance so your calories are already spent- make sure it is a reasonable day you can stick to. Lastly, your could check in here several times during the day to update us and commit to following through.4

@aeshippers So sorry to hear about your tablet! Good for you for staying dedicated to reporting and recording in spite of the inconvenience.
@Slimpossible007 Great motivational words!
Exercise: Yes, over an hour of walking/running to burn off my excessive lunch. The heat isn't too bad here in Florida if you can get a breeze, but, of course, a quarter of the way into my run and the breeze totally died. The humidity here is heavy, which is what makes it seem so much hotter, even though it was probably only about 84 degrees F. It feels like I'm swimming when I'm outside sometimes.
Calories: Yes, barely!
Tracked: Yes.5 -
You are all inspiring to me!!!
Today:

@5cheetahs almost the end of the school season. Will you have the summer off?
Thanks @everyone for the continued support and inspiration. I am just holding my own here and trying very hard to make the exercise quoata for the day. Bud & I are now home and even though our friends helped us immensely and spoiled us it is nice to be home. I am very soooo grateful tonight. We got home and our neighbours across the street had a lasagna, salad and fresh rolls in our fridge. Another neighbor came over with some treats(all healthy), got a grocery list of fresh things we needed and then refused to let us pay as said it was their gift instead of flowers! WOW we are so lucky. Another friend is delivery meals for the freezer tomorrow,,,,,,,,,,,feeling very loved right now
