Here is a photo of Chicago's skyline from the Lake Michigan view. I did not take this photo, but I have had the joy of seeing this spectacle from a boat in the lake.
Have a great day! It's back to work for me...Hi Ho!

Cakes went down well at work today and I managed to get them in my backpack and still cycle to work. Also went for a walk at lunchtime.
Tracking good and calories just under even after having a piece of each type of cake.11 -

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5km in 42 minutes (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Looks like a lot of people had a good 4th of July (not many passes).
@Dosse1320. As you found, ordering out can be a minefield if not prepared. Finding a good reduced calorie option is often hard. I find avoiding fries and wheat based products gives you the best chance of keeping the calories down. Sauces can be sneaky too.

Burnt just over 1200 calories today, 60 mins on the cross trainer, 30 min jog and a 60 min walk (mixed terrain).
Walked into town and did the food shop (which I totally loathe, lol) and the usual chores around the house which I will not bore you with, lol.
All food/drink tracked and logged for the day and within my 1200 calorie limit.8 -

I second what @2020pinktogo did @aeshippers ! Great they survived the journey!
@PaisleyFlower well done on the new job. Sorry it's stressful though. I'm sure it will all get easier in no time!
Ew if anyone needs to be put off their food to keep in calories read on. There's an awful noise outside my house as I type as 2 pigeons are erm doing what happens in nature but the local cats, mine included, keep trying to attack them. Yep, kitchen closed. One downside for this time of year is the presents that my cat brings home.4 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yep. Walked the dog for around 25mins and did a bit of resistance band/stretching/plank. Nice easy day to recover.

@rangerrickl that is an amazing photo .. love it so pretty
@aeshippers well done staying in goal AND having cake
@PaisleyFlower good luck with the new job
another yes times 3 for me today
exercise came in the form of cleaning the house (the living room was full of boxes due to my clearing of the cupboards) and we had a door salesman coming over to measure up so it had to be made to look respectable (ish) .... also a short walk
we will not be taking the doors as the price we were quoted, for a back and a front door, was £9,000 but he assured us he would get it down to £6,000 if we allow them to put stickers in our windows and a placard in the front garden to advertise their company
..... errr ... how about NO!!
you'd think they were selling gold doors at that price!!!!!

Exercise: 40 min/2.5 mile brisk walk with the dog and 40 min of yoga
Calories: 1086/1220
Tracked: yes all of it
30 day yoga challenge: 5
Miles: 18
Lesson Learned: Today I was quite hungry due to not eating a lot of food, even snacks of fruit, and what I was eating was very healthy! So I learned that it's okay that my tummy grumbles and I don't need to feed my face every couple of hours.5 -
Exercise - Yes... went for a nice bike to the local U-pick for some in season strawberries. Made some fresh jam and strawberry short cake as well.
calories - yes... thanks to a 50 minute bike ride
track - yes... including the short cake!
Something interesting happened. I had a packet of chocolate covered almonds in my hand... and then voila... I put them back on the shelf and walked away from them. I think because I didn't want to have to own up to eating them!7 -

Great job walking away!!!5 -
I have three yeses for today. --- but I swear it was tougher today on a regular workday than yesterday's party day. I wanted to munch but resisted. I had to have my 20 calorie Atomic fireball to get me through the afternoon. I keep a few in my desk at work. Flavorful, sugary and long lasting. Sometimes it is enough to get by.5

July 5...Yes, Yes, Yes.
Finally got back to the gym today after a looooong break. Did something new called a Jacob's Ladder. Kicked my tail in a good way. Struggled to get enough calories today though. Just didn't plan well. Hopefully lesson learned. Tracked everything, but didn't get to most of it until pretty late in the day. Thought I might miss my window. Thankfully not. Thumbs up!5 -

@120maggie A 20 calorie Fireball is just fine. Unless, like me and chips, it just triggers eating 160 calories of Fireballs or chips.

My wife and I spent lots of time doing a post-4th of July party cleanup
Exercise was chores around the house and farm for 37 rapid movement minutes
Calories; nice margin below
