The day when you go carb crazy n binge on 300 grams of carbs ... on an otherwise low carb life... 1 grams of carb = 3 grams of water retained along with the sodium.. easily would be 2 pounds of water weight....

And who knows when that will go away ...

    Tell me about it!
I ate 50gs of Basmati rice (cooked, cooled down, in fridge, then eighed and measured, and re-heated (this makes it a 'resistant starch'!) and I did bloat a bit.

But astonishingly, nowhere near as much as I used to, when eating hot, just-cooked rice....

Movie nights always seem to sabotage my efforts one way or the other ... I was happy I didn't snack on anything at the movies and went out and got my favourite dinner. Except I forgot to replace the noodles with meat... came home weighed the food ate and logged it... And boom carb overload .... even the chicken had lot of carbs besides the noodles. And that was like 1400 calories ... in just one meal when my normal limit is 1500.. it suddenly put a lot of things into perspective of my high carb days where I used to snack on stuff even after a meal like that.

generally for me the water weight is off in 2-3 days, but I'm sure everyone is a bit different

Explains why we used to feel so bad everyday doesn't it?! It's good to realize what it was that caused it though!

I just go for a 10k run that night or the next morning after a binge night and the scale doesn't move much :)
