Cleveland is a fantastic summer city for runners, never gets too hot and humid as my previous homes on the east coast. There are lots of running events here in CLE and they are easy to get to. Rocky River is my favorite running area - all my CLE neighbors knows where that is, so I'll see you there :-)

I'm from CLE too! Lakewood Area! Just getting into running.. hopefully i'll get to the point to meet up with you for a run!

My goal is to enter and finish the Marine Corps Marathon in 2018 as that will be the 25yr anniversary of the first one that I ran.

Looks like most people here are from the USA. I live in Australia about 2 hours north of Melbourne. I mostly run on trails in the surrounding forests.

I do cross country running during Winter and go in a trail event about every 6 weeks. I'm here to get rid of 5-7kg and some cm from my waist.

Cudahy just outside of Milwaukee. I run on the treadmill and also in the parks. Milwaukee County has a great parks system. My main route runs right next to Lake Michigan.

@DanielleM7810 I am in SW Iowa and occasionally run in Omaha on some weekends when I go up. My favorite paved trail is Lake Zorinsky. I went out to the Bellevue Loop trail for the first time last weekend and it was decent as well, but I need more runs to explore greater portions of it and the longer trails it links with.

For dirt trails, I liked Cunningham Lake last year, but the NW portion of trails was very overgrown the last time I went out (and only time this year so far). I had to part the grass to be able to see the trail when I was standing right on top of it, and I had pretty bad (bloody) marks on my legs after running through that thick grass.

My favorite dirt trails are a bit south of Omaha at Platte River State Park. Technical trails and lots of hills... I end up with slow pace as a result, but I like the park and the challenge.

@1TheQueenB I'm just getting back into running also, and working up to long distances. I'll be honest the FL heat is tough!! Right now I'm up to 5 miles, but I've also been taking it slow and cross training a lot (swimming in the ocean!!) having a friend who is training in similar conditions may help my motivation though
