I'm not tracking atm. I'm still losing a bit of weight (1kg from beginning of May to today) so I'm quite happy. I may start tracking once my weight loss stalls.0

Hello! I'm still trying to find the right #. I wish My Fitness Pal used such information as pregnancy and nursing in their calculations. Currently MFP gives me 1530, I believe, BUT, a number of articles and books I've read have said breastfeeding Mammas should never consume less than 1800. Pounds were melting off me around 2200, (yes, even more than either the amounts I was aiming at), UNTIL my period came back. Now I feel like I'm back at the drawing board :-/ [However, I'm also now yo-yoing within 5-10 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight, which I always hear is the hardest] Weeks I can fit in 3-5 workouts also show a lot more progress. It's like Quantum Physics, I swear!2

I just got started on mfp. I decided to start after my 6wk post partum check up. My OB recommended targeting between 1500-2000 Cal, and focusing on staying hydrated, reducing carbs, and keeping up on protein and good fats. I set my target at 2000, so I am hoping to maintain that for a while and see how my supply & weight respond.1

I set mine to 1800 (read the same thing). I stopped tracking during pregnancy and now I've gained 10 lbs since my baby girls birth. Getting back on track without losing my milk supply. Already hard enough trying to pump at work so I can be exclusively breastfeeding. Also found my fitbit and need to up my game. Hard when I'm soooo tired.0

Mine set to 1970 but increased to 2470 due to breastfeeding....I'm a plus size chick & you're supposed to add an additional 500 calories to whatever goal you set based off you're height, current weight, weight loss/maintenance goal. I just add breastfeeding to the food diary which gives you 500 calories.0

Hello! I have to say that your supply really lessens when you drop your calorie intake for a few days. I have had it set at 1980 and I wasn't eating back my breastfeeding -500 calories. Within a few days I could definitely tell the difference. I've added back in my breastfeeding calories and my supply is increasing again. I'm also drinking fenagreek tea which always helps boost my supply. Good luck Moms.0
